We have done this a few times - once at Epcot, and twice at MK.
Basically, they pick you up at the marina at one of the MK resorts. If time allows, they will zip you around the lake for a while. Then, they park in front of the castle. At MK, we had the music pumped into the boat. It was really nice. We brought on our own food instead of paying for the catering service they provide.
Have fun, and don't forget to tip your captain. ;)
We did the MK fireworks cruise for DD's bday 4 years ago from the poly marina and loved it!
Our captain took us all around the Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake and told us lots of interesting trivia and fun facts.
It was November so they had blankets in board for us to cuddle in to.
They also had chips, sodas, and waters that were included in the price. The would not allow me to bring my own food or decorations.
Parking in front of MK and watching fireworks over the water was a great time that I will always remember!
I wouldn't hesitate to do it again.
It's been a while since we've done a fireworks cruise but we totally enjoyed the one we did. We had added the food option onto our package. I would opt against that and, instead, book a nice dinner before or after your cruise.
The very first Intercot meet 15 years ago (or so) we did one at EPCOT- it was great.
The only thing I know about the MK cruise is that it is $346.13 for up to 10 guests. Price includes pontoon boat, driver, water, soda, bagged snacks and and audio feed of the fireworks music .
There is also the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage. $57.50 (ages 10 and up) $33.01 (ages 3 - 9) , Before you board, Captain Hook and Mr. Smee greet you and when you get back to the dock, Peter Pan is there to greet you.
Our family of four did a MK cruise from Wilderness Lodge for my birthday at Christmas. It was magical is all I can say. Definitely have the music piped it. When on the water you can clearly hear the music which I have not always been able to do while in the park because of people screaming and hollering with excitement. Excellent cruise. The driver was great also. His tour information was great. Definitely would recommend it.
Our family of seven did both the EPCOT and MK cruises. The MK left from WL. We motored around for over 45 minutes before we positioned ourselves for the fireworks. Ate our snacks and enjoyed the show with the music piped in. Very enjoyable last night.
