I will be hosting a 5K fun run around Pop Century Resort and the new Art of Animation Resort on Friday, October 26, 2012. We'll be meeting for the run behind Classic Hall at Pop Century, by Petals Pool Bar. The run will be starting at 6am, so be there before then.

We're staying at BLT, and won't have a car. How would I get to Pop that early in the morning?

That will probably be the challenge. It's early so there may be others who will have cars available and would be willing to pick up some riders on their way. We're staying at Pop Century so we'll already be there.
I think the best bet is exactly as you mentioned - get some car pools of folks that have autos and are willing to pick folks up and bring them over.
At the conclusion, you can get a bus to the nearest park to spend your day there or connect to your resort.
Well, if anyone who has a car would be willing to drop by All Star Sports, let me know!
Otherwise, it just means I get to sleep in longer that day!
A cab is always an option to get there. They are readily available at the resorts.

I may wave to you as you pass the Art of Animation Lion King area.
We were planning on coming, but DD still has her ankle injury, so we won't be there, but I hope everyone has a GREAT time ... AoA would be so awesome to run through while most are still sleeping.

Our family tradition is to run the Thanksgiving Day 5K every year. Some walk, some run, some walk/run. Anyway, it's out at the Sprint campus in KC and all the streets are blocked off. It's a huge, very well-run event. I generally run most of it with just a tiny bit of walking (if any) but I'm still not doing a 12 minute mile. With the thousands who show up for that run/walk, I'm far from last and I like that. As much as l'd like to participate at I-15, I fear that I would be on my own, lost, and last.
Plus, we're staying at The Beach Club so I'd have to cab it or something. I'm sure I'll wish I had run and kick myself later. My goal is to start running in smaller 5ks between now and I-20 so that I can conquer my fears and run next time. I would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to run a Disney 5K too!! I think I could get lost in that crowd! ;)
