Exclamation Meet: Illuminations 10th Anniversary Party!

    Hey All:

I have run the math and the final pricing for the Illuniations meet is a lot less than I promised. I know you won't be dissapointed I was able to get the cost down - and thanks to the folks at Magical Journeys who are helping to sponsor things ad get the first 100 people a discounted rate! Hopefully this will enable some who were on the fence as to whether they could afford it to attend!

    $35 Per Person

Details: The price includes deserts, beverages, goodies and companionship of 100 other INTERCOTees or so! This is a HARD TICKETED event. You will need to sign up and pay in advance. Sign up deadline will be the last day of September.

Location: Lower Level Terrace Near France - Epcot. This location is just over the bridge from England walking towards France on the left.

    Just a couple of questions...

    1) At what time would this event commence (approx.)? We have 7pm ADR's at 'Ohana that night.

    2) Is it a "licenced" event? We will be travelling with our children, and would want to purchase tickets for them.

Thanks for the work (and the reduced cost!)

We start giving out wristbands at 8 - you can get in at 8:30. So if you showed up at 8:30, you would be fine.

Not sure what you mean by licensed event? It's an event we are holding as a site (we rent the event location and contract with Disney to cater for us), that you will need to purchase tickets for (here on intercot) in advance. We'll then put your name on the guest list and will need to show ID to get your wrist band upon arriving. Wish we could let kids in free, but Disney charges us for every person. They don't make a differentiation.

I meant licenced as in a drinking establishment -- and since they are under 21 there would be a potential issue. This does not seem to be the case, so terrific! Thanks for the info. I did not expect free entrance for the kids -- just wanted to know if we could buy tickets for them.

    Thanks again John!

John, along the lines of Jennifer's question, will there be a cash bar for those over 21 who wish to purchase alcoholic beverages? No big deal if not as I can walk over to the stand in France and purchase my customary glass of champagne that I have during Illuminations.

Right now, we're just doing non-alcoholic beverages. Not sure right now if you can bring a beverage in. We'll have to ask.

Actually, to have a bartender to mix drinks, even with a cash bar, would more than likely have raised the cost per person to have the extra staff. John, just post it here when you find out if we can bring in any alcoholic beverages.

I'm not sure how you kept the price so low, but thanks so much! I can definitely afford $35, so I will sign up when link becomes available.

You say with about 100 Intercottees...is this the limit for how many people can attend?

    Music to my ears.

Not sure on the capacity of our "space" but was merely a guestimate based on past events how many people will actually pay and show up.

    Cool

Well, thanks to the wonderful folks at Magical Journeys who couldn't stand to hear me whine, beg and grovel anymore, the first 100 people to register will get a reduced rate of.....

    $25 per person.

So, go book your trip with them ok?

Thanks to Nanc and crew. We'll see them there!
