    Default Magical Express Question

    We have two questions

    1. Can you claim your luggage at Orlando when arriving? We will be arriving at 10pm in the evening and want to have our luggage before we go to bed.

    2. Is three hours the normal time that they pick you up at hotel in route to the airport? At one time, I had heard it was four. The reason we are asking is there is a 10:30 flight in the morning, but if it is three hours we might get a a little earlier flight.

    Thanks

    Welcome to INTERCOT!

    Answers to your questions:

#1- Yes, you can choose to wait for your luggage and bring it on the DME bus with you. If you want to do this, just don't put the yellow tags on your checked luggage before your flight. Once the tags are on the bags, the bags will not come out on the carousel for you to pick up. They are whisked away behind the scenes.

#2- Pick up is a pretty standard three (3) hours prior to your flight time. It works out well, as you arrive at the airport about 2 hours before and that gives you enough time to check in (if you are not on a participating airline) and get through security.

    Welcome to INTERCOT!

In response to your second question, I believe 4 hours is standard prior to International flights.

I have very similar situation....we are arriving at MCO 10pm. I would like to NOT have to claim my bags, but what time will I get them? Will they deliver them to the room at 1am or can I expect them very early next morning? Thanks.

    Thumbs down Our experience

Sept 2006 we used ME. We waited at the airport for about 45 minutes for the bus to fill up. On the way back to the airport the service was horrible. They took our wheel chair under the bus, and then forced us to stand outside the bus until the luggage was all underneath. It was very difficult to stand all that time.

Feb 2007 our friends used ME (we will not use it again). They arrived to the hotel at 9pm. Their bags were delivered at 1:30am. They were happy with the service; except for the wait for their bags.

My family always arrives late at night. In October, my flight does not land in Orlando until 11:59 p.m.

At the front desk of our resort, we simply tell the Cast Member to hold our bags. In the morning, we call bell services and a bellhop brings our luggage to the room in a few minutes.

Pack everything you need the night you arrive in your carry-on bags.

I just spoke to bell services at SSR last night re: this very issue. I was told they will not deliver bags after 11:30 PM. They will leave a silent message on your phone and you call them in the AM to request delivery. Or as others have suggested : pick them up yourself no yellow tags, you can still have them loaded on the bus, or pack all you need in carry on.
