I agree - the buses for the PO resorts, especially POFQ since it picks up and drops off first, were great. The resorts seem fairly centrally located to all parks and no bus trip is excessively long.

    Default Worth the walk?

Having stayed at POFQ, it's true that the buses pick up and drop off their first. At more crowded times, it might be worth it for you to walk (or even take the 2 min. drive) over to POFQ to 'jump the line' a bit. You might be more likely to get a seat that way.

We've had great bus service, very timely and efficient with no overcrowding at the Polynesian and the Grand Floridian. The bonus is that you don't have to bus to the MK or Epcot at all.

Our worst experience with buses was at POR, always overcrowded. We had to walk to the main building to have any chance of catching a bus at all, and then we often had to wait for a second bus. Due to our frustration with buses, it was our only experience with a moderate resort and we've never tried value.

I have to say this a tough question since I have had good and bad service just about every place I stayed.

I have had Great service from Pop Century on several trips probably the most Consistant of all the resorts I stayed at although there were a few snafus in there as well.

The same can be said for Animal Kingdom Lodge and POR.

The absolute worst bus service I encountered was at Coronado Springs waited almost 20-25 minutes for a bus to the parks almost every day.

This is almost a trick question, because there really is no good way to answer it. You have to consider the dates of the stay, the specific times someone was waiting for the bus, the occupancy level of the resorts (vacation guests vs convention/competition groups), how many buses were on the resort loop, were they sharing with other resorts, absentee drivers, etc. We've stayed in resorts where at one time of year, they didn't share a bus with anyone else and at other times, they could be sharing with up to 2 or 3 other resorts. There are just way too many variables to base a resort decision on the bus history.

    POR or POFQ
Stayed at POP and there were always lines. (summertime)
    (lilnes don't bother us)
Stayed at POR last week and we only stood twice, which was good.
    Stayed near the west depot.

Wow. I guess it depends on when you stay and where. I've stayed at Fort Wilderness, Wilderness Lodge, Contemporary, Polynesian, Port Orleans Riverside, Caribbean Beach, Coronado Springs, All Star Music and Pop. The absolute worst was Port Orleans. The absolute best was Coronado Springs. Everything else was very good, but Pop and All Stars always have lines and we had to stand often.
Too many trips to keep track of now! Vacation WDW twice a year so any questions ask freely ☺️

The best bus service we had was SSR. Perfect in every way.

We never had a problem with POR, Movies, CBR or POFQ.

We were not thrilled with the service at Pop but, it was during Free Dining and the resort was really busy.

I was not thrilled with the bus at Boardwalk Villas when I was there this month. I am almost afraid to say that...lol. We only took it to and from MK (walked everywhere else) but, it was just packed to and from the resort. I also did not realize beforehand that it shared a bus with The Swan. That added to the amount of people.

For us, the best bus service was at Coronado Springs - never had to stand or wait long, and this was in early August, so the parks were very crowded still. The worst was at Port Orleans Riverside - had to stand at least half the time, in late September when things in general were pretty slow.

Port Orleans French Quarter was good on the way TO the parks, but on the way home, almost always had the longest line of any resort!

All Star Movies wasn't too bad, but typically had long lines home at night from the parks.

Both POR resorts get my vote on this. The bus system is great at both. We have never waited very long for a ride, either leaving a park or the resort. Now, at times they can get a little crowded, but this can be expected with certain times of the day / night.....you can't always expect being alone on your bus....I've waited on busses at many different resorts and parks and POR has the best.....IMHO....

I don't know if it is just luck or if there is reason behind it, but I have stayed at POP, Wilderness Lodge, French Quarter (twice), Carribean Beach, and most recently Coronado Springs. Coronado was, by far and without question, the best bus service I've ever encountered. Not even close.

We had excellent luck at POFQ, because they pick you up first there and you always get a seat. The next best place was All Star Sports because they pick you up first and you always get a seat. Then we stayed at the POP. We didn't make out too good over there. So we would opt for a different park then take the monorail to where we were headed to. Worked out okay. At Caribbean Beach, it was okay, not great. But my favorite thing to do at POFQ is to take the boat over to Down Town Disney. That is a pleasure. Have a great trip. And Happy New Year.
Keep smiling and Have a magical day!!!
    It's all good.

We love to serve fun, food, and deliciousness.

We favor POFQ because there is only one bus stop. When you go to leave the parks after fireworks or fantasmic the lines are always long at the mods and values. Disney usually sends extra buses to the lines that are the longest first. So if you see a really long line at the bus stop do not panic. I our experience is you will have to wait a while and you will be standing. If you know these things ahead of time and make the best of the situation things will be more tolerable. You are at Disney and there is no way for them to know how many people are at each park from each resort. All you can do is be patient and realize everyone else is ready to be in their room also!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
