Question # of days out you get your info in the mail

I am now 50 days out from out trip in August and was wondering how many more days before we get our tickets and stuff in the mail. Also, what will we receive? I made our ressies over the phone (customer service from the Disney World website).

    Thanks a bunch to all.

I presume that you are staying at a Disney resort. Your tickets will be part of your key to kingdom card which is also your room key. So, you won't receive tickets in the mail, they will be put then on your key cards when you check in. Just Swipe the card at the theme park gate and your in.

You say you did reservations through the Disney site, so at that point you should have gotten all the confirmation for the rooms that you need. If you requested to be contacted by email they would send a confirmation email.

If you are using DME then you will get luggage taks in a couple of weeks or so.

If I'm right, and please correct if the assumptions are wrong, then there isn't much to expect through the mail. Just take your reservation number and head to the hotel when its time and have a great vacation.

You should have gotten a letter or e-mail that had your reservation # and information on it shortly after you made your initial deposit. If you booked directly through Disney, you should also be able to access your reservation through the MyVacation link on the WDW website - you need your reservation #. If you booked DME, that packet should come 3 - 4 weeks before, sometimes sooner, sometimes a bit later. If you booked any dining reservations, you will not receive anything on those - your confirmation #'s were given to you at the time you booked.

BTW, it looks like we might be there at the same time. If you are interested, we've got a couple of mini meets going on at Epcot. These are the links:

    Question ????

New to abbreviations, but what is DME?
We have 5 nights at Pop and yes I have conf. number. There are three of us on the DDP, and we are driving so no airline.

I was just kinda hoping for a little something in the mail to get DS(13) excited. Thanks.

Oh, we are leaving morning of the 15th. Just my luck.

Sorry, the abbreviations become a bit of a habit after a while. Its stands for Disney's Magical Express which is a transfer service from the airport to the hotel. Since you are driving that doesn't apply along with the comments about getting tags from Disney.

Unfortunately, won't be anything in the mail to surprise the kids. The modern electronic age in action.

If you are driving, you don't need to worry about DME! It's Disney's Magical Express - the bus and luggage service from Orlando International Airport to the WDW resorts. Sorry you'll miss our meet on Friday - check out the other thread - there's one on Monday as well.

DME is Disney's Magical Express. If you're driving, you won't need this service.

Generally, Disney doesn't mail verymuch any more. If you've got your confirmation of reservations and dining plan, there's nothing else you need. As already noted, your park tickets will be on your room key which will be issued to you when you arrive.

Reading your post it sounds as if you are booked as a package as you mentioned haveing the Disney Dining Plan. Package documents ship from Disney a few weeks prior to travel. They are not generated until after time of final payment (45 days prior to travel). In the documents you will receive vouchers for the tickets and the dining plan. Your tickets and actual dining plan credits will be attached to your room key at time of check in.

If you are booked as a room reservation with Keys to the World tickets attached to your room key, you will not receive any additional information via mail and you will get your tickets at time of check in.

If you are not entirely sure if you have a package or a room only reservation, check your confirmation number. Packages are 8 digit numbers and room reservations are 12 digit numbers.

    Hope this helps!

We just hit 45 days a few days ago, and when we went to AAA to pay our balance, we were told our documents should be there in a week or two and we'd get a call to come in and pick them up. I told DH a few weeks ago, one of my favorites parts of the trip is picking up those documents! It makes the trip seem much closer!
