this is a really interesting mystery. Its viral marketing kind of like Fall Out Boy used to get attention for their latest album a few months back... I put in my email address so we'll see what happens I guess.

My theory was that somehow it was tied to Lost...23 is a very "important" number on the show but it doesn't really make sense to ask "are you 23?" unless they're asking if you're unlucky...

Well how about that! Disney is counting down to my birthday! although they got it a bit wrong. I'll be 27 on March 10th, not 23.

I also entered my email, I'm so curious. But, as the timer came on, I looked up at the site address and it said /twenty_three/preview..etc
so i am assumming it's a movie of some sort.

Some of the feeling now on other sites is this is going to be a fan club of some sort... Something along the lines of Club 23 (referring to 1923, the year the Disney Company formed, or something like that)... So the Are You 23? campaign would then make sense...

I put my email address in! I noticed on the bottom of the page by the links that it lists "Your California Privacy rights", so I wonder if that means it's not pertainable to FL? Or if that's just because of where the company is offically based out of? Very interesting!

What does the name helium_api have to do with anything?

Is this an announcement of the Ballon ride in DTD? Which of course does NOT run on helium, so ....

Helium is a website ... it's hard to describe, but it's sort of a hub for user-generated content. They elicit writing contributions from users on a variety of topics.

Someone mentioned a Disney blog as being a possibility? Could be related to that, maybe?

I also am intrigued by this thing. Just for the heck of it I went to imdb.com and did a search for "Disney 23" and the first result was Nightmare Before Christmas. I'm more confused.

I have 2 guesses on this and both have to do with celebrating year long and not an exact date.

The Tink on the web-site immediately reminded me of the watching the opening of "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights as akid. This was brought back as The Disney Sunday Movie in 1986. Could they be bringing those movies out on DVD.

2nd is the Disney Channel became a 24hr channel in late 1986. Maybe some of those original shows will be release as DVD sets on March 10.

WDW is doing this for something new....they were hoping that all of the secrecy and questions would drive people crazy and make more interest in the topic. They were right!

Construction started in WDW for the MGM Studios 23 years ago. In March.

I guess we'll all have to wait and find out. I'm sure it won't be anything that great but viral marketing campaigns are always fun. We'll see.

Last time they got us this excited was when they announced the 'What will you celebrate' promotion... Which was a big disappointement for me.
