Looking for a Repositioning Cruise .......

Hello,

I really want to go on the repositioning cruise with my family thru the Panama Canal from Port Canaveral to Los Angeles CA.

It just seems like they aren't doing this anymore and I don't want to beat a dead horse looking for something that isn't there.

So if anyone has any insight at all I would be grateful.

As it stands at the moment, there are no repositioning cruises through the Panama Canal scheduled through 2010, as the Magic will be repositioning to Europe in April 2010 and the Wonder will be remaining in Florida.

Sorry... I'd love to do a Canal trip myself.

It's just that we've done the Carribean & it was great but being from the West Coast it was hard to get used to the time change and by the time we did we were going home.

I couldn't even imagine going to Europe for the Repositioning cruise - don't get me wrong it would be great fun but the time changes would be insane.

The FL/CA repos seem to happen every three years or so. I think when the new ships come online (2011 or 2012), we can see that trend coming to an end as one of the ships will more than likely have a new home in the Golden State, thus making for its final repo cruise through the Canal.

The Wonder is moving - - probably permanently - - to Los Angeles in 2011 when the new Disney Dream goes into service. See the announcement elsewhere in this forum.

After that, the only repositioning cruises via the canal will probably be if and when the Wonder is taken to Virginia for drydock, unless they contract for those services with a shipyard out there on the "Left Coast".
