Nope! I posted a similar question out in it's own thread and it looks like no one has seen them ship yet thus far.

I would expect Disney to have better order fulfillment than that. The cost of D23 is about the same as Amazon Prime, and for that price you get 2-day shipping on everything for a year.

I'm teetering on whether to join or not. What I would like to do is just purchase one magazine and look through it before making a decision. However, to purchase it on Disney shopping or B&N online means an almost $5 shipping charge. Is it possible to purchase it in an actual B&N store so as to not have to pay shipping??

It appears so.
From the press release
Individual issues of Disney twenty-three retail for $15.95 and are available exclusively at all U.S. Barnes & Noble booksellers, all domestic Disney Stores, Disneyland Resort, Walt Disney World, and Disneyshopping.com.

My B&N had it. I looked at it for about 15 minutes before I decided to join. It's a really pretty magazine!

Wow, Disney cannot do any right huh? MOST, with Amazon being one of the main exceptions, process orders in 10 business days. And if there was a great demand for this D23 thing, imagine all the orders they would have to fulfil? Humans can only do som much lol.
Let's stop defending mediocrity out of Disney and hold Disney to the higher standard they set up themselves.

I was looking last night, didn't make the purchase but went to the very end. Shipping on the membership is free in the U.S. The shipping shows $8.95 first, but then is deducted on the check out screen. However, I would imagine shipping is charged when you buy the merchandise. For $75, shipping should be free on all items, not just the membership welcome kit.

I don't see it online at B&N. If it's there, someone please send me a link. Their shipping costs are normal.
I'm not bad. I'm just drawn that way.

I don't think you can buy single issues on BN website... I think you can only buy subscriptions...

Are humans really doing all of this? With all of the prep time that Disney had, I would be rather surprised if they did not already have a massive amount of packages ready to be labeled and shipped BEFORE the announcement. These labels could come right out of a computer, onto a box, and out the same day.
I am sure the delay actually has more to do with their choice of sending it via the cheapest possible shipping method, now that I've actually thought about it.

Guess we'll know when the packages arrive and we see if they were shipped Media Mail or not.
I sort of attributed it to the fact that they didn't want to lay in a huge stock of product before they knew who was buying.

The magazine was on the counter of the Disney Store I frequent in Whitemarsh mall, so I guess they all carry it now.
