We didn't get the park hopper option for our recent trip and I have no regrets. My kids are small and we often only spent a half day in a given park anyway.

Now next time we go and the kids are older and have more stamina we will def. get that option-if only to open up our dining options. Like other posters I would like to eat at Epcot every evening

Just to play devil's advocate here a bit, does anyone ever feel like if they've paid for the hopper option, they have to hop to get their monies worth? And how long would you guess it takes you to get from one park to another?
We get the ten day hopper pass. Although it is hard to quantifiy happiness, therefore difficult to place a monetary value on it, I would say that the hopper pass is well worth it, for my family.

Do we feel like we have to hop? No. But, then again, that is just what we do. We hit a park in the morning, go back to camp for a late lunch (and swim), and head back to the park in the evening. Often the morning and afternoon parks are different, but not always.

As far as how long it takes to travel between park, well it takes my family hours. Of course, we never travel directly to another park...
I believe the Unofficial Guide (whatever the title) actually lists the travel times from park to park, resort to park, etc.
