I think the complaining shall start tomorrow...
So if I am understanding this correctly, online opens at 6AM but the phone line opens at 7AM? That is so not right. Are they expecting a lot of problems with the online ADRs or are there only a certain number of ADRs available online? Be sure to let us know what happens.

Online Reservations - Questions
Tomorrow morning (6/22) my 90 day window opens. Our trip, my daughter and I, is 9/20-9/27.
I understand that online reservations begin at 6 a.m. Eastern, and phone in begins at 7 a.m. Eastern.... is this correct?
Tomorrow is the 90 day window for 9/20. What about 9/21-9/27? Using the online system, will I be able to book for the entire week, or just the day that's 90 days out? I've been messing with the online system, and it doesn't seem to let you select a date to search beyond the day that is 90 days aways.

I will be calling dining closer to time for our trip to confirm that they did, indeed, link the online reservations I made to our dining plan and stay since it wouldn't pull anything up by my trip confirmation # and that is the first thing they ask you when you call in. It pulled up each individual reservation by their confirmation # but not the booking #. That is weird to me. No, I'm not DVC.

Whew, thank goodness for online ADRs
I decided today, to use the new online ADR system to confirm the ADRs our travel agent made for us back in May. Our travel agent has been great and did a lot of work on getting us all the ADRs we wanted.
It was a good thing I checked, because 2 of the days we were doubled booked. I'm not sure if this was Disney's fault or our TA. Needless to say, I quickly booked ADRs for the correct day online and thankfully the same restaurants were still available just not at the times we originally thought we had.
If it was not for the online ADR system, we would not have learned about the mishap until we arrived at WDW.
I was having a moment of panic, but am now calm (as calm as I can be that WDW is about a month a half away)

Not that I am doubting you but this is a DVC reservation made with DVC points and not a regular reservation at a DVC property right? Again, not doubting just wondering. . .

You are correct... Phone lines open at 7:00 A.M. but the system turns over into the new day at 6:00 A.M... And October is smack in the middle of Food and Wine... If this isn't working, and I get shut out of my ADRs, Disney will be hearing from me loud and clear... My money wil be spent ELSEWHERE...

Yep you are correct. Both my Oct. and Dec. reservations were made with our points, not cash. I copied and pasted each reservation number from the DVC website onto the dining website and entered our phone number. One of them is retrieved repeatedly(I've tried several times now) and the other one will not retrieve at all, which is apparently what everyone else is encountering. When I first retrieved the Oct. reservation Friday night, I thought the system must be fixed and was so excited to tell everyone. I can't possibly be the only person that can get a DVC reservation pulled up on the system.I thought maybe it's a glitch and some are getting through while others aren't. But if CMs are telling DVC members that they are not linking the systems at this time, then what in the world is going on? Just wierd!
DVC members-please keep trying! There's no way I'm the only one. Seriously what are the chances?! LOL

Only if you have booked directly through disney.
If you have booked through a TA, the online system does not recognize the confirmation number, and will only allow you to make a reservation for 90 days ahead, no more.

For those of you that have contacted Disney about the fact that DVC and TA users can't use the online system.... have they said when they expect to have this problem fixed? Or will they only say they are working on it?

This may be a little off subject but what about the new tier system everyone was talking about? Is there any truth to it? It seems like everyone is getting what they wanted so I didn't see how it could be possible.

I played around with the online ADR system and it seemed easy enough to manage. Since I booked my trip through a TA and today is my 90-day mark (9/20-9/25), I just called Disney Dining to make ressies--this is the first time I didn't have a wait time & got to speak to someone (Billy Jean--she was super-nice & helpful)!
Great, no wait time BUT...I really didn't get anything that I hoped for. Le Cellier--nothing for 2 while we're there. We have tix for the 9/22 MNSSHP and the ADR times offered are either too early or too late (sorry--this should all be going into a post in a completely different thread. This is the ADR Online discussion, not the "Carol can't get what she wants" discussion, lol). Maybe I'll have better luck in November.
Michael Bluth: I need access to these files that are apparently for British eyes only.
Rita: Well, lucky for you, my whole face is British.

I e-mailed DVC member services last week and received a reply from them a couple days ago. It was basically a standard form letter that said:
"Disney Vacation Club Members can book dining reservations '90+10' days in advance of their resort reservation by calling the Disney Reservation Center (beginning at 7 a.m. EDT) or Member Services (beginning at 9 a.m. EDT). The new online system is in its early phase and there are segments that the system currently does not recognize. These have been identified and we are actively working towards solutions."
So, basically, no, they don't have a time frame of when it will be fixed. I don't understand why they would put this system online when such a big segment of their guests (DVC members and those who booked with a TA) wouldn't be able to use it. Makes no sense to me.

Well. that is not good news for me. I have been playing with the system for a few days now so that I can hit the ground running tomorrow morning, but since I booked through CAA/AAA, I'm going to still be stuck holding for half an hour tomorrow - long distance on my dime. They should at least come out with a toll free dining phone number now that so many people will be booking on line.
