St. Pete's for a day?

Hi all,

Myself, my mum and my partner are coming over to orlando from the UK in September. My mum loves Disney just as much as we do but she would also like to go to St. Pete's for a day. We will not, however, have a car. I was wondering, does anyone know of a company that will do a one day excursion? Has anyone done it this way before? I'm thinking probably on a bus...
Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

I grew up in St. Pete, honestly I would rent a car if you are going for the day, there are some good rates and you just have to zip across I-4. You might want to tour downtown St. Pete, it's really nice now and has been revamped in the last few years, many great restaurants like Columbia at the Pier, wonderful Fine Arts museum. You also might want to zip over to the Beach, like Passagrille or Ft. DeSoto which are about 7 minute ride from downtown area. Also, we love the Brits there, so you will be most welcome!
