    Smile internet service

Am traveling to Disney at the end of the month and bringing a new laptop. Called to day to check on price for internet service at the campground and was quoted $9.95 per day. Seems like an awful lot as may places we have camped it is free. Wondered if anyone has found any good places outside of Disney to get service or free internet access if I don't purchase the laptop. Thanks!

On a side note...if you do choose to use the Internet in the cabins at FW, you need to be able to charge to your room key. If you don't turn that option on, you won't be able to use the Internet in the cabin.

Apparently Disney feels this is a side note also...

I can't express my anger when I found this out a week into my vacation and went to the Settlement to check my account balances, etc.

If you do have a laptop, Panara Bread and Denny's are a couple of free wifi points nearest the Crossroads.

I agree that 10 bucks is steep considering that on my way home I stayed at two campgrounds, for less than half the price, and got FREE wifi.

Come on already, we are paying a premium to begin with...

There were several people using the internet just outside the trading post, picking it up for free I believe.

Sorry to bring this thread back from the dead, but wanted to set the record straight on this, in case anyone else is looking for internet-related threads in the hopes of finding some solution.

These people you saw using Wi-Fi outside the Meadow Trading Post were NOT using it for free ... it gets charged to your reservation via your room key (even at FW.) I know, because I sat outside the Trading Post and fought with that Wi-Fi signal for what felt like years.

That's why I'm looking for a recommendation for THIS year's trip that won't involve me cursing at my then-boyfriend-now-fiance and nearly being attacked by an armadillo.
