Boma ??: What's a Zebra Dome? (And any good signature drinks?)

We are hoping to try Boma on our next visit and I've read several places not to miss the Zebra Domes. What are they? Also - are there any really good "Signature Drinks" there? Like at O'hana's, I LOVE the Lapu Lapu drink. Thanks for any insight! Can't wait to try a few new things on our next trip!

a zebra dome is a bit of heaven in a delicate dessert. google images will show you. they look like their name. Boma has a signature drink in the morning but they dont have alcohol in it. It's called frunch. I dont know about the alcohol.. Maybe someone else will know. zebra domes are great; if you get boma for breakfast for the frunch, you can buy zebra domes as a snack in the AK counter service; mara, is it?

They're kind of a chocolate mousse flavoured with liquer. I loved them, but the rest of my family said they were too rich.

Victoria Falls is a bar located right above Boma, which you can see Boma from the bar. They have some great signature drinks. We like to get there a little bit before our ADR, and have a drink. You can take it with you to your table if your not finished before your table is ready.

It's a little snack cake that's frosted white with stripes. It has some sort of "liquor" in it. I didn't really like them all that much but they were worth trying...they were not "rum balls" but they kinda reminded me of rum balls or rum cake...but I don't think it was rum. It's been a while.

(I really have never liked rum cake or rum balls or liquor flavored desserts...meals...yes...just not desert).

I too did not care for the zebra domes ( idid not find them rich though). But theyare part of the buffet and worth trying! There are lots of specialty drinks I can't think of the names of any...I remember I had a blackberry mojito that I didn't care for (berry and mint ). The drnk I had after was really good ( don't remember what it was).

Don't know about Frunch, but they do have a jungle juice (fruit juice mix that is non-alcoholic) you can get with dinner that is very good. DW and DD absolutely loved it last time we were there.

We didn't like the zebra domes either, none of us in our party. DH and I had drinks at the bar once and I had a chocolate martini, not signature, but it was really good.

Chocolate mousse covered in white chocolate ganache and piped with milk chocolate ganache stripes. I think the liquer is Kahlua. They're not bad and I know tons of people who LOVE them, but I thought they were pretty rich and I'm not a fan of Kahlua in general. Do be sure to try one though because they are super popular.

All of us loved zebra domes! Yes, they are little domes of smooth, fluffy light mousse over top a chocolate cake bottom. MMMM.

We enjoy having a drink in the bar lounge above Boma before we eat. I liked the mojito drink, and we also really enjoyed the special spiced nut mix appetizer they have there.
