Space Mountain is in fact the tallest structure in the Magic Kingdom, taller than Cinderella Castle, but it was "sunk" about 15 feet into the ground as to not take focus away from the landmark of the park: Cinderellas Castle...SO, it is techically NOT the tallest structure. Got that?

    You are correct.

K, I have an issue with this question LOL leave it to me!!!
But the Magic Kingdom Space Mountain in Florida is not 15 ft into the ground. The one in Disneyland California is
Space Mountain in Florida is 183 feet above the ground and 300 feet in diameter with a floor of 72,500 square feet, over 4.5 million cubic feet.
Space Mountain in California-the imagineers couldn't build a space mountain that can be viewed from every angle like the one in florida since the tighter space in Cali. So it had the same design only 200 feet diameter as opposed to 300 feet. and in order to prevent the attraction from dwarfing the castle (Sleeping Beauty's) the base of the structure was placed 17 feet underground giving the mountain a height of 117 feet from ground level to the top spire.
So the Space Mountain in Florida is much taller than the Space Mountain in Cali regardless of the amt of feet underground it is.
But yet the answer is still the same because the castle is still the highest in Magic Kingdom Florida.....

    3. I am assuming you are talking about Space Mountain in Florida and the first person to ride at opening was Colonel James Irwin, pilot of the lunar module on the Apollo XV mission to the moon. Another VIP rider of the early days before opening to public was Edna Disney-she was 84 years old

    5. This is in Disneyland that six of the seven were at the opening and the one missing was Gus Grissom as he had passed. His wife was there in his place.

    Yes to both.

It is a mix of Space Mountain trivia from any park. Sorry, should have specified.
