Default How to display your pins?

I have about 90 pins. I was wondering if anyone has recomendations for displaying my pins. I was looking at the picture album thing online I thought that was a neat idea, but I don't know if it is worth the money.

I hang my lanyards on a hook. I like the shadow box idea.

DBF and I both use a Shadowbox. I bought one at Michaels for cheap and I have about 100 pins and I just filled it this trip, so I will need to get a new one for next year But the backing that came in the shadowbox wasn't "thick" enough for the length of the pins so I had to be a corkboard type material to cut and stick in it. Im thinking about painting the background of the cork board now too so that its not the cork color..not sure yet though.

We shadow box our "keepers",too. We also had to adhere a piece of corkboard to make it thick enough, but instead of painting, we applied a stiff felt to the cork. Works so great and when you re-arrange your pins, you don't see so many holes.

Our boxes are great treasures, and the pins look so great! Love it!!!!!

We have used the album for many years, since our daughter first got into them and was big on trading. We take the album on every trip. We keep them separated so that the ones we don't mind trading are on certain pages and we refill the lanyards via those pages. Then off we go and are ready to trade with anyone.

If we get a pin we are thinking we'll keep, we won't put it on the lanyard but we'll keep it somewhere else. Then when we get back to the room, we'll put it on a keepers page in the album.

Another INTERCOT member posted an answer to this question when it came up a year or two ago, that I thought was totally brilliant. They had bought three embroidery hoops from a craft store, one large and two smaller ones, and gotten some heavy black fabric to put in them. Connect them together (bet you can guess how), and they make a great pin storage board.

I have the hoops but have not yet assembled one for myself. I also have pin bags, several of the albums from when they used to have the nicer black album covers, and a shadowbox. (I might have too many pins....)

I have fairly alot. So, I use a corkboard. The last time I went, there was a cast member who had a giant corkboard (80 feet long 50 feet wide) Filled with pins. My DS and DD traded for hours. It's a lot of fun. My DD was fairly happy because she got a 'Sonny With A Chance' Pin.

We have 5 different Shadow boxes displaying our pins. We have them seperated into catagories that match, sort of. We figured that since we spent so much money on them and they look nice we might as well displpay them on the wall like normal people do with art.

Our window at PoP by Mongo mil, on Flickr

We actually have two of those types of flags both full of pins. Only could fit one in the window so we changed them out every couple of days.

We covered a large cord board with fabric and then painted the wood around the outside to match the girls bedroom. They can always be seen, they can be kept in their sets, and it a safe place to keep them. We tried the books from Disney World and then the pins just sat on a shelf.
