POR campfire question.

Did I read somewhere that they do campfires with smores at POR? I can't find it. Was I imagining thinds? Can someone tell me if an where this is?

We've stayed there numerous times and I've never heard of that at POR. There really isn't even a place where they'd be able to do that there. I believe this might be something that occurs at the Fort Wilderness Campground? Hopefully other intercotees will be able to confirm.

I think you may be thinking about the campfire/sing-along at the Fort Wilderness Campground. We did it back in December 2007. They have a sing-a-long, Chip and Dale make an appearance and then they show a Disney movie on a big screen.

They sell everything that you need for the campfire. It was reasonably priced too.

I just did a search here on this discussion board and found several references to a campfire with smores available at POR on a seasonal basis (fall?) near the 'Ole Fishin" Hole.
So I guess the answer to your question is
"it depends".

They just put it in not too long ago !!! The campfire place is right behind the pool bar at the main pool area ! We were there in June, however was told that it's not "open" till the weather gets much cooler, so I don't know when it's operational, however I do know for certain that it is an option !!
