In case anyone is interested, I'll probably go into some additional level of detail on a few of the bigger things from this report in our next podcast.

There were a couple thing I wanted to expand on a bit, so if anything here caught your fancy you'll want to tune in!

Thank you for your trip report--it was refreshing. I have been to WDW twice during the holidays in the past few years, and there is just something extra special about it. I have to agree with you, though, on the holiday version of ROE - it is my favorite fireworks show to start with, and the final song is just so fitting and has always been a personal favorite of mine. I cry every time! And I also agree about the Candlelight Processional--always a very moving show, and I always cry during Silent Night, as well. I'm hoping to make it down next December!

Ian, I'm am glad you got the "Magic Back", and you all enjoyed a fun although cold trip in December!
How cool for your brother to get married at Disney, and for family and friends to gather. Lucky me, my sister is having a big NYC wedding in May. NYC...great! Disney is sooo much better!

Glad you enjoyed the Candlelight Processional. Stephen Curtis Chapman has been invited back quite a few years in a row, and he is wonderful (haven't seen him, but have seen him perform). I was filled with JOY last year while watching, and I have to say that my church candlelight service was not nearly as moving! A "must-do" if you can! So thankful that Disney still continues this tradition.

Ian, I give you guys a lot of credit for traveling with 4 month twins. I hope they are good travelers! We never let the kids age stand in our way and I have traveled with them since they were 5 weeks old, but wasn't ready to conquer Disney until they were out of diapers and jar foods...and let's just face it, flying is just no fun these days. I'm really glad it all went smooth! In the end, you just do what you got to do!
Thanks for the fine report!! I enjoyed it!

I have to agree --- it was COLD last week in Disney. We, too, arrived on the 11th and got home on the 19th. I couldn't believe how cold it was. We saw CP on Thursday with Thomas Gibson --- loved it. MVMCP on Tuesday --- so cold that some shows were canceled; so we were told. All the CM's we encountered were very nice!!

    Cool

Enjoyed your report Ian! Glad to read that you had such a great time with your family. I, too, find that WDW is even more magical during the Christmas season, nice to see the magic remains. Now allI need to do is get back to the 'World" during the holiday festivities!

Ian, I really enjoyed reading this trip report, and seeing your love for Disney and how much you enjoy it come through. It's funny how returning during season you haven't been there for in awhile can help the magic return!! You've made me anxious to get back during the holidays...

(and I agree -- The CP is one of my favorite experiences during Christmas, and I can only imagine how wonderful seeing Steven Curtis Chapman as narrator was. We saw it with Marlee Maitlyn, and that had it's own special magic -- but I bet he was fantastic. )

I'm so glad it was such a good trip for you guys!!

Ian great report. You just about changed my mind about coming back to the World. So many people have been so negative about Disney that I told my husband I don't want to fly all the way there and be disappointed. We are now thinking of going sometime in 2012.

Great Trip report.....We were there Dec. 27th through January 4th and the first couple of nights got into the upper 20's. I grew up in St. Petersburg Florida and lived their 22 years and never remembered it ever being that cold

I also agree on the CM's. My wife and I noticed that all seemed really happy
