The last time we were in the wonderful world of Disney was in 2009. DH and myself were going and our ds and dil decided to come along and bring our wonderful grandsons, we had been there before with them but this time it was a surprise for the grandsons. We left the day before and the grandsons got Mickey mail telling them that Mickey missed them and wanted them to visit soon. When our dgs asked if they were planning a trip my son told them no we are going tomorrow morning. dgs then asked if his Mimi and Papa were going to be there and they said no not this trip, but we were already there and when they arrived at POP we were waiting in the lobby for them and the look on their faces was priceless, it brought tears to my eyes and we had a wonderful trip. 50 days to go till we get back to POP to make more magical memories with our grandsons...

You had talked about the school bread in the Norway Bakery and I remembered thinking "what is that"? So I went in to check it out and bought one. Oh my!!!! You were so right~they are delicious!!! So thanks for the new discovery and a very tasty memory!
I am so glad you tried it. There's just no way to convey how yummy they are in a post.

We always look forward to driving through the main entrance for the first time. We always do that and drive around the parks a bit before we head to the resort.

Seeing the topiaries at Epcot Flower/Garden Festival is my favorite.

Least favorite was tipping over and falling while on my scooter on the bus to DHS. OUCH.

From my last trip? It would have to be my last night, when my family and I ate at Citrico's in the GF. My sister was working there at the time, so everyone there knew her. We were given menus with our name printed on them and everyone--from our hostess, to the manager, to the chef--came out and greeted us at one point or another. And the meal? FANTASTIC.

So I would give everyone the advice to go to Citrico's, as the staff are amazing people and the food is out of this world.

My last trip was January 2010, and my sister and I booked the Mickey's Magical Milestones tour while there.

Our group had just finished our meet-n-greet with Mickey and we hung out for a moment while our tour guide chatted with the cast member there. The cast member turned to a little girl in line who had on a Cinderella dress, but running sneakers. She made a big fuss over her dress and said "I'm glad you have good shoes on though. You lose a shoe here, you end up getting married."

The little girl's eyes got really big. She turned, looked up at her dad, and just BURST into tears. "I DON'T WAAAAAAAAAAAANNA GET MARRIED!!!!"

It took the cast member, the tour guide, all of us, Mickey and Minnie to convince her that her shoes were GOOD shoes, and therefore she had NO reason to worry about losing them.

Before leaving the tent, our tour guide made the cast member promise to not make any other kids cry that day, lol!

Through the rest of the tour, a random intervals, somebody, and usually the tour guide himself, would start giggling over that little girl. Wonder if he tells that story on tour now?

Being in WDW with just my DH and I without other family! Easter weekend seemed to last much longer than three days.

I love this thread and have been smiling this entire time reading through the posts!

My last trip was in 2009. It was for my honeymoon and my husband had never been to Disney. We were watching the light parade at Magic Kingdom and I looked over at my husband and he had on his groom mickey ears and the absolute biggest smile I have ever seen! I was taking photos the whole time, he thought it was of the parade, but it was of him While we have been planning for this next trip (15 days) he has been so happy. I can't wait to make more magical memories with him. Seriously, Disney is the best place for a honeymoon. we got treated like royalty! I don't think we waited in line the entire time we were there, and we were in all of the street shows!

My most recent trip was just in June. It was my nephew's Make A Wish trip. Seeing how much fun he and his 3 year old brother had was priceless. They even got along most of the time. And how special we were ALL treated by Cast Members all week.

And William getting to battle Darth Vader and then the meet & greet with MIckey & Goofy as Star Wars Characters, as well as R2M2(?). And then there was the meeting with Darth Vader and they were so very brave going up to him.

And how tired they were but they kept going and going and going. To the point where on our last night at the Magic Kingdom, they made it till midnight but fell sound asleep leaving the park.

There are just too many more, I could keep going forever!

i love disney so much and im having a really hard time picking one moment so heres a few that make me smile....
-trick or treating with my family at MNSSHP, that was just probably one of the best nights of my life...the fireworks were great and jack sparrow was on a float and we danced and and just had so much fun at that party, pure magic.
-walking into the confectionary during my bday trip to get a giant oreo....when i walked to the counter before i even spoke the lady pulled out a giant oreo and said "here this is for u for ur birthday"...that was real magical too.
-walking into the polynesian and being greeted by the staff that is now family.
-every moment i spent there with my happy healthy family that ill never take for granted.

Our last trip ( a few weeks ago) will be remembered for the rest of our lives. Our daughter in law and I were looking at the things in the shops along Main Street. She went up check out and I was not paying attention to what she was buying. When we got outside, she handed a bag to me and asked me if I thought it would fit a newborn baby.
WE ARE HAVING AOTHER BABY IN THE FAMILY.
What a perefect way to find out. Main Street and Magic Kingdom.
Your attention please, the Walt Disney World Railroad is now boarding for a trip around the Magic Kingdom

Without a doubt my favorite in July was after my DD7 went to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. She was treated like royalty the whole day! I was skeptical at the price, but after her great experience it will be a must do! Best was when we hopped over to DHS for dinner at Brown Derby. A "police man" yelled "Make way for the Princess!!!!! Make way! Make way!" and escorted us all the way to the restaurant! He even made onlookers bow to her! Her favorite memory by far and true Disney magic!

The smiles of loved ones walking up mainstreet, seeing the curious items and what lays on the horizon, the Castle. Smiles and wide eyes make the work, expense, and the crushing 90% humidity worth it.
