    Thanks!

Can you use it on the airplane? We are flying airtran

The Internet connection in rooms is via cable, not wifi. You'll need to take your own router.

If you do bring a router, the cost is $9.95 per continuous 24hr period. There is no code, start your browser first and you will be connected after conferming that you want the charge on your room.

Unless you have an iPad with 3G service through AT&T or Verizon.

On the airplane, you must go into airplane mode so no internet access there. However, it's great for watching your own movies, playing games or reading. I loved having mine on the plane.

You can use electronic devices when the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. Some AirTran flights offer in-flight Wi-Fi; you'll have to check on the particulars for your flight. You will have to pay for it if you want to use it.

Just an additional note, in case you were wondering--Orlando International Airport is one of the few left in the country that provide free wifi (if you have time to kill at the airport on the way home).

Just a coda to that, yes most airlines do allow the use of electronics after takeoff and before landing, but, some still require that transmission abilities be turned off, unless on a wifi flight. Just be sure to listen to the announcement.

All airtran flights have GoGo now. For our trip in December we were sent a free pass for GoGo on our flights. It pays to be A+ rewards members!

What we do is purchase the 3G from AT&T for just 1 month. Just make sure you cancel, which you can do the same day. Then we use Wi-fi when available for free and use 3G rest of time.

That is if you have a 3G capable iPad.

We just got back. My husband recently got a 4G MiFi from Verizon. It allows up to 4 devices to be connected. We used the iPad to connect with Netflix during the evenings. It was fantastic! If this is an option for you, consider it seriously.

So if we bring our laptop and want to use it in our room at Pop Century, we have to pay $9.95 a day and bring our own router?

Most paptops have a hard wired Ethernet port. You can use that, no router necessary. If you have a WiFi only capable laptop (I've never heard of such a thing though) then you will need to convert the wired Internet available to a WiFi hotspot.

    It's $9.95 a day regardless...

I turn my iPhone into a WiFi hotspot and use that IF I need Internet on anything, but these days it's less and less of a need. Being DVC we also get free Internet at WDW, so that's another option...
