Latests you can upgrade DDP?

Does anyone know when is the latest you can upgrade from the QS DDP to the Basic DDP or higher?
Do you have to do it before final payment is due or a few days before check-in? (before you packet & KTTW is printed)

This is just a guess - but I would think you could do it when you get to your hotel. It is just a matter of them updating your account and you paying for it so I don't know why you couldn't do it that late.

Even if you checked in early, I would think they could still change it quite easily. You can add park days on that late so why not upgrade a meal plan...

The dining plan must be finalized (purchased or upgraded) at least 72 hours before arrival. You can add/change it after final payment as long as its before the 72 hour point. Not sure why but that's their policy.

Huh. Interesting. I'm kind of thinking there may not be any technical reason why they can't - they just must want to know for staffing reasons or something... who knows.

Yeah, there has to be some planning or technical payment reason but haven't heard a verified explanation.

Just my thought, but if you knew you wanted to do the upgrade wouldn't you want to do it as soon as possible to enable you to set up your ADR's? I would hate to spend the money and then have no real dinning options. I guess it's possible to go ahead before you commit to the upgrade and set your ADR's then either cancel if you don't or your covered if you do. Never tried that approach.
