1 night at F&W - Boardwalk or BeachClub?
Hi all - we decided to add an extra night to my sister's 40th bday celebration...
We rented points at BLT for the 1st three nights. For our extra night, we want to be close to F&W festival activities! We've never stayed at Beach Club nor the Boardwalk.
We will definitely be walking back/forth to Epcot. We are both avid travellers and have plenty of sleep-aids (ear plugs, eye shades, etc.) so I don't think the noise factor would big a big factor in our decision.
So... which one to choose?? Opinions / factors to consider - suggestions on which rooms to request are much appreciated!!

Beach Club is closer so it will be easier to stumble...err...walk back to your room.
I am partial to BC. I tried Boardwalk and it just didn't do it for me. The decor was too over the top "rainbow exploded Victorian". Too many bright colors, mismatched furniture, crazy wallpaper. Also, confusing layout...I got lost so many times. Just sort of rubbed me the wrong way. BC decor was much more low key, soothing, neutral. Love it. BC has a better pool area by FAR, but for just one night, that probably isn't a factor. Once you are in your room, both resorts are very quiet. BC gets my vote, though.

We haven't stayed at either, but we're booked at Beach Club this November for the F&W fest. When we walked over from Epcot a few weeks ago, the entire area seemed pretty quiet.
Something about the Boardwalk just doesn't appeal to me (it might be the clown face in the pool area LOL), but I don't think you could go wrong with either resort. An extra night in Disney is still an extra night in Disney, right??

Another vote for BC. We've stayed at BC before and the walk to Epcot is so short! It was amazing to be able to walk back to our resort after Illuminations, even more so I'm sure with F&W going on!
We've never stayed at the Boardwalk. We will be there for one night in August. I've always wanted to give it a try, and my kids have actually asked to swim in the clown pool. So I don't have anything negative to say about it, I just think with BC being closer it's the better resort for your needs.

Beach Club would be my choice. I loved the proximity to Epcot when we stayed there.

Something to keep in mind, your choice might be simple - I'd take the one that still has availability!!! Both BW and BC are normally very popular, but especially during F&W festival.
But given the choice, we'd also head to BC. I hope you get the room of your choice and have a great trip! The location of both these resorts is excellent. I also doubt you'll need to worry too much about excessive noise at either.

i'll be the contrarian. we go down for f&w every year for our anniversary and always stay in bwv because of the nightlife on the boardwalk. we hang out at the world showcase until illuminations then head over to jellyrolls to continue the fun. it's connected to the bwv so it's an easy stumble home.
we also stay at bcv the first week of dec every year when we take the kids because of stormalong bay. i have nothing negative to say about either place and love them both.
when it is just my wife and i, bw. the family, bc. you cannot go wrong with either choice.

Good! You can all go to the Beach Club and that will leave more room for us at the Boardwalk!
We love the Boardwalk! (Except for the scary face chairs. ) I have tried to get my family to try other resorts, but nothing-doing. It's BW all the way (which I'm okay with, but I'd love to give WL or AKL a try.)

so.. any suggestions on room prefernce? Since we'll be there only one night, I am inclined to simply ask for anything close to an elevator! - or closest to a secret side-entry doorway to Epcot!?
Ask for a room closest to Epcot. Plenty available down there. Bit of a walk to the lobby but not bad. There IS a little side entrance literally steps from the Int'l Gateway.
