Room Number?

Is there a way to call before your stay and get the room number you were assigned? We will be checking in on Sunday (less than 2 days), and I am just curious what room we will be in, and if my in laws will be close to us.

No. They will not give you your room number until you physically checkin (arrive at the hotel) and the room is ready. That is pretty much industry standard. It's partly because room assignments can change right up to your arrival time and partly a security procedure.

you can request that your room and your in laws room be as close as possible but thats about as far as it go

You're going to have to wait to check-in. If you're not close, you can ask and they should work with you at check-in to at least get you close to your in-laws (unless you don't want to be close). I'd also have it noted on your reservation.
