Mickey Mouse phone

I just found and bought a 1976 touchtone Mickey Mouse phone and I'm really excited about it! It was in an antique store sitting on the floor and it looks great. I brought it home and cleaned it up and then plugged it in to see if it works and it apparently wants to ... I get a fast busy signal. If I hang it up and call it, I get a message that the call can't be completed, then I hear the busy signal. I haven't used a land line in years, but I do have one due to the fact that I had to get one to get a better deal on my cable/internet service. :/ There has never been a phone connected to it.

SO, my question is, does anyone know if this busy signal would be a problem with my Mickey phone or with my phone service?

could be an incompatability. Analog phone on a digital or VoIP line.

It is a digital phone line. I had forgotten all about that until you mentioned it. I wonder if there is an adaptor or something available to make it work? Thanks!
