    Default Pop Century Buildings

I'm staying at Pop Century for the first time in a couple of weeks, and I wondered if those of you who have stayed there before can advise me on which building to ask for, given that I have a standard room, but would like something away from the pools and maybe toward the quieter side (or as quiet as it gets at POP). I've stayed at All-Star Sports many times and know which building to ask for there...but POP, not so much. Looking at the map of the place, it looks like maybe the 60s building might be good (and not terribly far away from the bus stop), but I'd feel more confident with advice from folks with POP experience.

I like building 10 (big wheel) at Pop. It doesn't have a pool and is close to food court and busses.

On our trip in Sept we had a very nice room close to the main building and we were in the 50's section. I like the area of the 50's, 60's, or 70's.

If you do the on line check in you can make some requests, but they are not guaranteed.

To get something close you can always pay for a prefered room as they are closer to the food court area.

    Hope this helps...

We have stayed in the 60's before 3rd floor backside of building which is a standard. We liked this room. You can also see some fireworks from this area.

Next, we will be staying again at POP and requested 60's, lakeside, upper floor hoping for the same thing as you "a quiet room" I will post to let you know if this is what we get and how it was.

We were in the 80s section, away from the pool. You could cross the parking lot to get to the food court and busses. And, we could see fireworks from our room! I'm sorry that I don't remember our room number.

We were in the 50's section facing the bowling pin pool. Not good.

Since you have a standard view you wouldn't be facing the pool (trust me, much better not to face the pool) so a good choice would be the back of the 50's section that faces echo lake, it is very quiet and peaceful. It has a nice view of art of animation and is a very short walk to the main pool and eating area. We had 4th floor so you would be in the 3400's. The top floor has the best view. You would enter under Tramp. (see map). Have fun!!!

We did find the breakfast at AOA was much better than pop and it was a short walk over the bridge from that section.

I have to agree with this. We always stay in the 80's, Walkman building, but we are always on the top floor facing the computer pool.
We never had any issue with noise, and it was a very quick walk cutting across the parking lot to get to buses & main building.

We have stayed at the POP twice now.
First the The Lady building facing the parking lit on the third floor. We had no problems nice and quiet. The second time we were in the 90's building right behind the laptop on the first,
that was wonderful, so quiet and right next to the parking lot and an easy walk to the bus stops and the food court and gift shop.

We stay at Pop everytime we go. I really like the section with the foosball men/big wheel/Mickey phone. It may be considered preferred since it is really close to the main building but it is really nice and quiet.

4 yrs ago we stayed at Pop in a standard view room. We were in the 90's building, 3rd floor corner room on the end of the building that butts up against the 90's parking lot. It was a great location. Surprisingly quiet even though it was near the bus stops. It was just down 3 flights of stairs and a short walk across the 90's parking lot to the bus stops and Classic Hall. The elevator is in the middle of the building making that a slightly longer walk.

I would also suggest the 50's section backside facing the lake. That was my favorite of all the rooms I've had at POP. It was a short walk to the bowling pool and still pretty close to the food court, but it was quiet!

My last trip we we're "upgraded" to a preferred room right by the Flower Power pool - worst room ever, kids screaming well past midnight. I'd avoid a room by the pools.

We had a Lake-view room in the 60s building and LOVED it! It was quiet (even though we had people on the rooms on either side), short walk to the food court and bus stations, and a great view from the window (we were on the 4th floor and watched Wishes from our room one night). Thanks again, All!
