    Default Newbie questions

My husband and I are taking our first trip to CA and spending 2 days at Disneyland. I have a few questions as I get started preparing our itinerary. We will get to DL 5/18 and leave on 5/21 in the morning.

    1. We plan to stay in a hotel across from the entrance to DL. How do you get to California Adventure from there? I can't tell from Google Earth where their entrance is exactly. Do we go through the same way as for DL, or is there a different entrance from one of the streets?

    2. I think we'll be arriving at our hotel around dinner time, do you think it would be worthwhile to get another day on the ticket to use that evening? Or is it smarter to just have dinner and settle into the hotel and rest?
I can't find a resource for the park hours in May...my app only goes to April.

    3. What are some unique snacks or meals we should try? We will probably do a table service 2-3 nights and counter service for breakfast or lunch.

    4. Do all of the rooms at Fairfield Inn have microwave and mini fridge?

    5. Are there any rides/attractions we shouldn't waste our time on? A WDW example for me would be Stitch (hate that one)

    6. Are there night time shows in each park? Fireworks?

    7. Are there any rides that I should worry about my butt fitting into? I don't have a problem with any Disney rides, but some are pretty tight, like most theater seats, and rock n roller coaster.

    1. Entrance to DCA is directly across from the entrance to DL. One of the nice benefits of DLR is the close proximity of both entrances to each other.

    2. If you dont mind paying the extra fee, I would start at Disneyland the night you arrive unless the parks close early.

    3. I cant think of any unique snacks different from WDW. I liked the Hungry Bear and Jolly Holiday Bakery for counterservice. I wasnt crazy about the table services that were average $20 a plate.

    5. Captain EO (painfully outdated) and Soarin (I like the ride but its the exact same as the one in WDW and there is a long wait for it).

    6. Both parks have night shows or fireworks worth seeing.

    7. Matterhorn is a tight squeeze. We all ended up a little sore afterwards and none of us are overweight.
