    Default FP+ off property

Ok - so as I read more and more i am a little nervous that I'm missing something here. We are going to be in WDW 1/10-1/18, staying in a vacation home in Davenport. I Sam hearing rumors about FP legacy machines being removed, etc.
are we going to shut out of FP all together? Can we do FP+ even though we are off property? I'm a little confused and overwhelmed with whole FP+ system.
    Help!!!

You will be able to get FPs, either through the FP+ kiosks, or through the legacy FP machines.

During Christmas week, Disney tested the system at Animal Kingdom. All guests, either on-site or off-site used the FP+ system. On-site guests were able to book the FP+ 60 days in advance, while off-site guests were given RFID tickets to use on kiosks the day of their visit.

The assumption is that this will be the procedure at all parks in the near future. For the tone being, it is only AK. The other parks have the legacy FP machines for off-site guests to use.

However, Disney has announced they will be fully implementing the system very soon and moving forward aggressively. By the time you get there, it could be different.

Nothing is confirmed to my knowledge but so far what has been happening in Animal Kingdom is that offsite guests can book their three FP+ when they arrive at the park. This means you would get 3 FP+ just like everyone else but because you don't get to book them 60 days in advance it could be that more popular times for some attractions are already taken.

The pros and cons of this could be argued to infinity and beyond as there are a few different view points. As someone who regularly stays offsite I will admit my opinions will be somewhat biased, in the same way an onsite guest may have a bias in the opposite direction. I guess that is just human nature.
