Busch Garden announces Cobra's Curse to debut in 2016

Apparently it is announcement week with a new water park coming at Universal and new coasters at Busch Garden and Sea World.

Below is Busch Gardens' press release about their newest family thrill ride.

Tampa, Fla. (May 28, 2015) – Busch Gardens® Tampa puts a spin on family thrills in 2016 with a brand new family thrill ride – Cobra’s Curse. This spin coaster is the only one of its kind in the world, featuring a vertical lift and taking riders on a whirlwind adventure of exciting explorations.

Located in the Egypt area of the park, explorers will come face-to-face with an 80-foot snake icon, trek over the park’s Serengeti Plain® and discover the mysteries of an Egyptian archeological excavation.

“This isn’t your ordinary spin coaster. In true Busch Gardens style, we’re putting a twist on this attraction and taking riders on an unforgettable and exciting journey,” said Busch Gardens Park President Jim Dean. “

It's good that they are trying to balance out their rides with more family offerings. Of course, it's been many years since we've been to Busch Gardens; I remember them having awesome rollercoasters, but not too many other rides that families could enjoy.

They've updated quite a bit, Beth and have a very nice kids area but are still a bit lacking in rides the whole family can do together. The kids area focuses on kiddie rides, climbing and water areas. Then there is an area for kids too old for the kid section but not old enough for all the coasters and then the overall section.

There are definitely shows and some attractions that everyone can go but I find when we go we have to cater the the kid group or the adult group.
