    Default Any perks?

    Hi

Hubby and I are coming to WDW next week. Right now we have a hotel booked off property near Disney Springs.

I got to thinking that MAYBE staying ON property would be less expensive so, I looked to see what was available. The only resort available for our time frame is Pop Century (we've never stayed there) and it's only approx $5 total more than the off property hotel.

My question is, is it even worth switching to stay at Pop? If I'm not mistaken, the only perk would be to have the park busses right there (as opposed to having to take a DS bus to a resort and then get on one to a park).

I guess I'm just thinking out loud and wondering if I'm missing any other perk of staying on property these days?

I just got back from Disney. I stayed at the Art of Animation which is across from Pop Century. One really great perk is the Skyliner. It will take you to HS and Epcot....so handy and time saving!

On property resorts get an extra 30 minutes in the morning at any park (that you have a reservation for that day.)

Other than that, the 'free' transportation - bus or SkyLiner - are pretty much it anymore.

I thought the extra time was only for deluxe resort guests?

Just be aware that there is a parking fee if you are driving.

The extra EVENING hours are only for Deluxe/DVC guests. The MORNING half hour is for all Disney Resort/Good Neighbor Resort guests.

Quick question - where are you staying specifically off property... that might play into it. If you are in a value resort off property, I'd rather have the disney theming etc, convenience of transit...

But, if you are in a deluxe resort off property, it might be less appealing.

Thanks everyone. We were booked at the Hilton Buena Vista Disney Springs, which we just stayed at in July. I compared the final price of the Hilton to the final price of Pop and we are saving approx $250 to stay at Pop! So, it just made sense to switch. Being at a Skyliner resort will be nice too
