Question Best Restaurant for Thanksgiving Dinner

    Hello

We will be at Disney on Thanksgiving and was wondering what would be the best restaurant to make ADR's for Thanksgiving Dinner. We are staying at All Star Music.

    Thanks

I visited Thanksgiving 2005 and made reservations for dinner around 7 PM at Liberty Tree Tavern in Magic Kingdom. The turkey dinner was nice (though not as good as home) and the characters were fun. Be sure to make ADR asap. The only problem was that even with ADR, we still had to wait for about 45 minutes to get seated. The park was very crowded on Thanksgiving Day.
Don't forget to ask for whipped cream for your pumpkin pie! They didn't put any on ours!

If you are looking for a traditional Tkg. meal then you should try the Liberty Tree Tavern. They serve turkey, roast beef, macaroni, stuffing, etc... This is one of my families favorite places to eat no matter what time of the year we visit.

At this late date (yeah--4 months out is "late"), you should call tonight and just ask what's available on Thanksgiving.

It's one of the busiest weekends of the year, and everyone has the same idea-- a nice sit-down somewhere.

You might try to embrace the idea of couscous or bratwurst for Thanksgiving.

We were at WDW for Thanksgiving 2005. We booked "Thanksgiving at the Fort," aka Mickey's Backyard BBQ. It was GREAT!!! It was an all you can eat buffet with all the traditional foods - ham, turkey, sweet potatoes, etc. There was a Country Western band playing, Mickey, Minnie, Pluto and Chip & Dale were there line dancing with the kids. They served beer and wine included with the price of admission. The desserts were set up in a separate area, and I seem to recall DD decorating her own giant cookie. If you decide to do this, be aware that it is 2 TS credits, and you should arrive as early as possible prior to your ADR (they have several seatings that day). If you arrive at FW by boat (from MK or WL), you are pretty much right there. If you arrive at the main entrance, you'll have to catch an internal bus to the dining pavillion, so be sure to allow plenty of time. Seating is first-come, first-served at picnic tables, and some folks can get a little territorial. This is definitely a meal we would repeat!
