Monorail or Main Entrance

I've read conflicting views on which is the best way to enter the park. One poster claims that the monorail is the best way to bypass lines into the park yet another says there is often a long wait for the monorail and it is actually faster to walk in the main entrance. I am trying to decide between Paradise Pier and Grand Californian and ease of park entry will definitely weigh in to the convenience factor.

It really depends.

Sometime there is a long line at the Monorail Station at DtD and walking is faster.

If there are no lines the Monorail is faster...

I know that really doesn't help, sorry!

Bryant is right. It's kinda hit or miss. Personally, I prefer entering via Main Street, so I usually like the monorail in the evenings.

If trying to get to the park for early entry, walking is faster. Other than that, even with a wait, it is easier to take the monorail. If you can't get on the first one, just ask the CM if you can ride up with the driver on the next one, the experience and view is worth the wait.
