    Default alot of bookings 12/12/ - 12/14

Wow I thought the first few weeks of December was s l o w. Not according to the disney online ressie system. I cannot find one room available. I guess all the promotions are paying off as the resort is getting full. Does anyone know if something special is going on that weekend?

    thanks - tory

Typically the first week in Dec is when ABC tapes the Disney Christmas special, so that may account for some of the activity.

Disney keeps getting busier each year it seems! I went in January and December two years ago, then I went in January of this year -- both times were not summer type crowds but it was still busier than I thought it would be!

We're going Dec 10-16 this year and it seems like the restaurants are busier (I have tried to make ADR's) - absolutely NOTHING available for the CP package for the weekend....I knew it was a longshot though, it IS the weekend!!

I'm just hoping it's not mobbed like it is in the summer -- if the weather is pleasant and the crowds aren't too terrible I'll have a fine time with our crew!! Hey -- we ARE going to DIsney after all!!

Availability of rooms has nothing to do with how crowded or not crowded a particular time will be. WDW only has the amount of rooms available they think they can sell so that they don't underbook. Now, December is certainly a lot more crowded than it used to be, but it's not sold out nor will the crowds be the size of Christmas week. As suggested above, try Magical Journeys and I'm sure they can help you.

Usually the first full week in December (this year 7-13) is when they have the cheerleader and football competitions. So good luck!

The parade taping generally has no effect at all on the crowds at WDW. It's more likely the cheerleader competition. Sounds like the right timeframe.
Too many trips to keep track of now! Vacation WDW twice a year so any questions ask freely ☺️

A friend of mine was forced to book off-site for that weekend.

I only have one room booked for that weekend.
