    Question Driving at Disney

I see a lot of emails regarding transportation from FW to the parks, etc. We would have our truck as we are towing our travel trailer. Is parking free at the parks if you are staying at a Disney resort? Do any of you use your car instead of the transportation from FW? I don't really know as we have never had a car before. Our two previous trips we stayed at CBR.

    Just curious. Thanks.

We always drive to WDW as we are only 9 hours away. We've never stayed at FW, but we usually prefer driving our car to the parks over Disney Buses. Usually we take the bus only once or twice during our stay. Never had any problems getting anywhere on property with our own car, and the parking is free at the parks with your Disney Resort Parking Pass. Have a great trip!

Drive to every location BUT the Magic Kingdom.. You'll be very happy you did when you see those bus lines.

(Magic Kingdom's entrance is not directly connected to the parking lot, so the bus/boat/monorail is usually a better choice)

Although nobody moves more people as well as WDW Transport I always have my own car.
It makes the pace less hectic for me. I will use WDW Transport to go to DTD if I'm going to have a few drinks FWIW.

Take the boat to MK from FtW, it's a lot of fun! Hope y'all have a great trip.

We too always drive to each park except for the MK. The boats from FtW will get you there in no time, but otherwise we've found the easiest way to park hop is to drive our rental car.

This really is your own personal preference, however. Many folks like to park their vehicles and let Disney do the driving. It just depends on how comfortable you are driving in an unfamiliar area. Although we've taken a wrong turn once or twice, there are so many signs on Disney property it's almost impossible to really get lost.

Agreed! We always take our car from FW everywhere except MK. Partly because it is easier with little kids and partly because we get to where we are going a little more effeciently. When we had a double stroller is was the easiest option. Our next trip we'll only have an umbrella stroller so we'll be more apt for the transit... except DH is running the marathon so it will be easier to get him around

Yes, you can park for free with a resort parking pass!
