How busy are the parks after New Years?

The family and I are going down for New Years. Ive heard that following January 1, the parks clear out, and there are barely any lines.

Is this accurate?

Going down on the 30th of December, and leaving January 7th.

couple of years ago, we got there on the 3rd and it felt like we had the parks all to ourselves at times. I dont remember waiting in line for anything.

I have heard that in the past too, but the last year or two I heard it was quite crowded the week after New Year's. I guess I'll find out with you as I arrive on the 5th.

we went january 3rd last year,and the crowds were light until the marathon hit town,it got busier then,especially the busses and the foodcourts,the rides less. good luck!

we were there in 06 and crowds were pretty light
