Default Car Rental - Disney World to Port Canaveral?

Is there someplace at Disney World that we can rent a car to drive to Port Canaveral? There are many of us and we wanted to go early and shop on the way. Can we rent at Disney and return at Port Canaveral? Even if we have to get a shuttle to the port?

    Thanks

During our vacation last August we stayed at WDW BCV the week before our cruise. We used Enterprise, which was very convienant. They brought the vehicle to the resort (Toyota 4 Runner) and we drove it to Cape Canaveral and dropped it off at the office there. They had a free shuttle that took us right to the cruise ship. When we returned from the cruise we were picked up by the Enterprise shuttle and taken back to the office. About a 5 minute trip. We are a family of five and the vehicle fit us and our luggage comfortablly. I would use them again.

We always use Alamo / National when we stay onsite. They will come and get you at your resort and the rental place is located at the gates of MK. They will also take you back to either your resort or a park once you drop the vehicle off. It's pretty great.
If you are booking the rental online just make sure that you specify that it is at the WDW location for pick up and drop off ~ the prices can sometimes be just a bit different, but in my mind worth it for the convenience.
Happy planning and enjoy Canaveral ~ it's so cool!

I believe I read that National closed it's office in the Port Canaveral area a few months ago and I don't think Alamo even has an office there.

Enterprise is really a great convenience. They are open 8am - 4pm on the weekends and 7:30am - 6pm during the week. They run 4 shuttles from their office to the port. The easiest thing to do, is drop off everyone at the port first. There's a spot where you can pull up, take out the luggage and the porters will take it away for you. Then just one person (without the hassle of luggage) can return the car and come back on the shuttle.

I think you can still rent from National at the Dolphin. We drove to the port for our cruise & I want to say parking is about $10 per day at the port and it's right across the street from the terminal. You drop your luggage & people then park across the street and walk over.

Kathy, was this recently? National does still have a location at the Dolphin, but I had read their Port Canaveral location had closed and I don't see it listed as an option anymore .
