Question about BLT and Treehouse 11/7 window

If I understand correctly, home-resort owners at Bay Lake Tower and Saratoga Springs have a two-week owner-exclusive window, Feb. 8-21, to book at BLT and the Treehouse Villas for stays beginning Aug. 4.

This sort of acts as a proxy 11- to 7-month owner period, because there are only six months 'til Aug. 4 and owners couldn't book their stays between 11 and 7 months out.

Once that two-week period is over, non-home resort owners can book BLT and Treehouse Villas, subject to the 7-month window.

So if I calculate correctly, that means that, for example, on Feb. 22 both BLT/SSR and non-home resort owners can book stays up to Sept. 22, but from Sept. 23 to Jan. 4 and thereafter the 11/7-month window applies, correct?

Sounds about right. The one outstanding question I have that I haven't gotten an answer to yet is whether or not simply owning at one of these resorts is good enough to get the advance booking or if you have to use points from that resort to make your ressie.

Good question. My guess is that they would treat it just like the regular 11/7 policy -- you can only use points from that resort between 11 and 7 months; after that you can use points from any resort you own.
