Well, I myself have a one year(also a 6 and 9 yr old), but I agree with you about age limits. Consider your child first when you get on a ride. They are going to be totally bored, hence the crying. Being a parent of a crying baby--I don't want to listen to my own crying baby much less someone elses.

As much as I can't stand crying kids I agree with what most have said, it's Disney, it's to be expected. It'd be nice if people would take the 'scared child' factor into account before they went on a ride, but they don't always know how a kid will react.

Thankfully, being child-free, the screaming baby is not my problem. I can just turn to my friend and say "that's why I'm not having kids."

Same with us, 3 kids, 3 personallitys. One loves to ride thrill rides, 2 don't, cut and dry. What's good for the many is not always what's good for the few.

Our 2 children were frightened of the HM the first time they experienced it. We let them know that we would not let anything harm them. We held their hands all during the staging area. After the ride they loved it and wanted to go right back on HM.

Sometimes, we need to let the kids face their fears in order to conquer them and gain self confidence.

Dnickels...I couldn't have said it any better myself!

Screaming kids are not what I go to look for at wdw, but it is to be expected as it "goes with the territory". I have a young sister and it is so true that you never know what will trigger a melt-down.

I think having more warnings, like "this is dark and sometimes loud" may not fix the problems 100% (let's face it some parents just don't care) but it will get some awareness out about the ride. Also, it may start a discussion between parent and child like, "ok there is going to be a loud noise on this ride so we'll be ready for it and not be scared!" (This has worked with my sister on many rides) So both parent and child know what to expect. Just my

Besides...I get more frusturated with adults who answer their phones during Philharmagic and use their video camera lights while filming PotC
