    Default When to buy tickets?

I'm so torn, I need advise. (just kinda "what would you do" since I know there's not going to be a right or wrong answer)
Ok, so we leave 29 days for our trip We're purchasing APs, but I'm torn as to when to buy them.
I've been holding out, thinking that maybe there is a slim chance that they will offer an other one of those "friends & family" deals (similar to the one that they sent off to AP holders earlier this year to give to others & get 10% your AP) Our trip will just (only by about 2wks) miss the time window to use that 10% coupon, but I really really hoped that they might send off another to AP holders.
So I've been delaying purchaing my AP voucher hoping that something will come up.
However, hystorically speaking, I know we're getting very close to the day last year when ticket prices changed (if I remember correctly it was around the Aug 4-6th or so).
It's kinda a gamble either way, but what would you do? Do I go ahead & buy my AP vouchers here & now to avoid the risk of price increase? Or do I hold out hoping they'll release some sort of discout or coupons on purchasing a new AP?

The savings on a "coupon" will probably be less than the increase in price.

I've always suggested to folks that you must buy tickets as soon as you can afford them.

I would be very surprised if they offered another AP deal. Even this last one was for a very limited time.

    I wouldn't wait, I'd buy them now.

Ya, I agree, I'd buy them now, the 10% could be offset by the price increases

I'm kind of in the same boat - buying them within the next two weeks would be a strain for me. I still have to buy my MNSSHP tickets.
What percentage of an increase have you seen every August?

On another website they have a historical price increase chart.

    Basic AP:
    Jan 2006- increase of $20 to 415 (5.1%)
    Aug 2006- increase of $19 to 434 (4.6%)
    Aug 2007- increase of $14 to 448 (3.2%)
    Aug 2008- increase of $21 to 469 (4.7%)
    (tax not included)

OK, lets say it goes up 4.4%... it would now be $489 for an AP

    Premium AP:
    Jan 2006- increase of $24 to 539 (4.6%)
    Aug 2006- increase of $20 to 559 (3.7%)
    Aug 2007- increase of $20 to 579 (3.6%)
    Aug 2008- increase of $20 to 599 (3.6%)
    (tax not included)

Here's something depressing....in 1999, only 10 years ago, my first AP was $299!

In anticipation of a possible Aug price increase I worked hard at saving money for 2 AP's since I got home from my last trip in January. I just bought the 2nd last week, luckily I got a Visa bonus offer for Apr, May and June and the extra reawrds points just posted!

I would be very surprised to see a small increase this year. Revenue and profits are down, I think we'll see an attempt to recoup that any way possible.
