Default Confused on which is more convenient?

Opinions please.....just doing a three night cruise to get our feet wet per say. Planning on going to Atlantis on our Nassau day and will be off the boat at CC for most of the day. Currently I have a cat 9 midship level 2. Starting to think that a cat 11 on deck 6 would be much more convenient and it also is $340 cheaper. Just myself going and my two daughters, age 7 and 10......

my dilemna... give up the window and split bath to be on a higher level and closer to the food/pools/drinks, ect.... or just stick where we are. THe only real benefit I can see of the window is knowing it is morning.

If it were a longer cruise, I could see the benefit of the window, but a 3 nighter??

    any thoughts?

If you have any concerns about sea sickness, I have heard that being lower, midship and having a window to see the horizon helps to alleviate some of the symptoms. Personally, I would go with a higher deck and save the money, especially if you aren't planning on spending much time in your room. Not to mention, the elevators are small and can be painfully slow.

We've cruised both midship Deck 6 and midship Deck 2 (with a balcony on the former and a porthole on the latter). I would keep the Deck 2 location you have already. While it was LOVELY to have the balcony, I didn't find the Deck 2 location to be that bad at all. You'll be closer to where you debark, you're only one or two decks down from the restaurants. I appreciated being able to look out day or night, and see the beautiful colors of the sea... for me, it was part of what made the cruise experience magical.

I have cruised with a balconey and without a balconey (never had a window) and I can tell you we would never cruise again without one.

We did a 4 nite with a porthole window and a 7 nite inside stateroom, and while we saved significantly on that 7 nite holiday cruise by bypassing the window, I'd never recommend it to anyone. Being in the windowless room is very disorienting time-wise - you wake up and you don't have any clue whether it's 3 am, 6 am, or 6 pm. For only $350, I'd go for the window room in a heartbeat.
