I took a Segway tour in Washington DC about 3 years ago. It was a lot of fun, required a lot of balance and left you tired afterwards. My concern would be the speed of the Segway. On our tour our Segways were initially set for a lower speed and we most certainly were going much faster than any of the pedestrians we encountered. My fear would be trying to traverse the parks with a lot of these Segways in use. Not to offend anyone, but I have been struck by strollers as well as scooters going at slow speeds at WDW. If a Segway struck someone not only would the individual be injured but most likely the driver of the Segway would lose balance and fall off. On my Segway tour being inexperienced, I did fall off the Segway when I lost balance. Not a pretty sight!

No. For example I would be able stand on a Segway all day but would find walking for any distance very difficult. I happen to use a Power Chair

Not taking a position ether way.

Every segway tour that I have looked into doing has always said that you need good balance, also using one all day would put a lot of stress on your muscles so I am not sure how much good they would do disability wise.

I have been almost ran down by several segways and it was me jumping out of the way that kept me from being injured. It is easy to get distracted and this happened in a crowded pedestrian walkway and the riders expected everyone to get out of the way.

Not all segway drivers are irresponsible as not all motorists or pedestrians are irresponsible but we should ere on the edge of caution in a place where very small children can run out in front of you at a moments notice.

so we were at a community fair at our convention center and there was a booth advertising segway tours. One of the booth people was racing around the area on a segway and came ripping down a ramp and almost took out my 7 yr old daughter. Yeah, I want them racing around the world alright. It scared her so much.
