Private Message received on board

I received a private message today and it was basically a porn message. I deleted it, I am not sure if other people are getting this private message in their inbox also. A box popped up asking if I wanted to confirm to the sender that I received it.

It didn't dawn on me to write the person's name down, I was caught a little off guard at 5:52am!

That PM was received by many of our members. The sender has been banned.

We encourage anyone else who received such a message to make a note of the user's name, notify us and delete the message.

Guess there's nothing that really can be done to keep spammers out, but this was pretty surprising...

I am quite thankful that I did not receive this message (didn't know about it until now). Thank you, staff, for taking action and deleting the spammer.

Any time anything like this happens, I just wanted to reiterate what Ed said:

Note the user's name and immediately contact your nearest moderator. Moderators for each forum are listed at the bottom of the forum's top page. Don't worry about bothering anyone when it comes to this. We want to make sure that something like this won't be missed. And certainly don't worry about offending someone! In fact, your reporting it will help us stopping that particular spammer from offending a LOT of someones.

I just got on and checked mine as well. I saw the subject but didn't in my wildest dreams think it really meant that since I was in Intercot. I looked for a spam button and found none so just thought to delete it and let you guys know. Then I saw this thread and wanted to say I appreciate your bringing this up so I didn't feel like I was the only one.
