We just got back from our annual September trip to Disney. This year I had my iPhone and the new feature Places, to document our adventures. Daily (almost hourly) I checked-in to almost every place we visited, beginning with our hotel check-in, up to our return home.
Since Places is a relatively new app for FaceBook, not all "places" existed in the database. I had to create a couple myself. It appears that FB just accepts whatever is typed in and if the attraction is in the database, you have to use what someone else has provided. Usually this was OK, but sometimes the information was incomplete. That being the case, there were also a lot of discrepancies. I would have preferred to keep my check-ins consistent. For example, if Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin were already in the database, it may or may not be connected with Tomorrowland and/or Disney's Magic Kingdom. Those are minor pet-peeves, but my annoyances, nonetheless.
It was so much fun getting feedback from friends and family back home. At least the ones that responded said they were enjoying my updates. I see myself using this feature from now on as we visit the parks.
