Default Can you get deals in concierge?

Has anybody ever gotten a deal while staying in concierge? Last time we went we were told we couldn't have the current deal because we were staying in concierge. Does this hold true all the time? We always stay concierge and couldn't imagine not. It's a bummer if we can't ever take advantage of a deal because we're spending way more money!

Yes, we've stayed CL at many Disney resorts throughout the years. ALWAYS with a "deal" of some sort...last year was with the military 40% room only offer at Beach Club, and the past few stays at DLR-Grand Californian Hotel, we've gotten the AP discounted rate on the CL there.

For every "deal", they only allocate a set number of rooms in each category. When they're booked up using a deal, they're gone for further booking at that discounted rate. That's probably why you were told the discount didn't apply to your booking. All the CL rooms at the resort you were staying at for those dates were probably already gone, if they ever were offered with the deal. They don't offer the same types or numbers of rooms on a discount at every hotel. They use discounts to fill gaps in occupancy.

We stayed club level at Wilderness Lodge two years in a row - both times we had a pin code that provided 40%.

We are staying WL Club level in Sept with a 35% discount. We received a pin for 40 but there were no rooms available at WL for that discount.

There is no "sure" way to get a PIN. PIN's are specific to a family and are not transferable.

In 2007, I arranged a surprise trip for a friend that was very sick. He went during the same time that our family did. A few months later, I recieved a post card from Disney with a PIN for him, but we never received one.

They seem to come by e-mail or postcard.

The one we just received came via e-mail.

Signing up for their website, order a planning DVD, order the free Maps.... so that your e-mail is in Disney's system is certainlly a good starting point.

I tend to have awful luck getting pin codes (meaning I never get them ) The best advice I can give is to go on the Disney site and order these things, as well as signing up for any newsletters or anything at all that gives them your e-mail address. I go with the rule that the more times they have my info the more likely they will be to pick it. Good luck! Also, don't ignore the other discounts. I have had a pin code in the past that I didn't use because the regular deal being offered worked out to be cheaper. I also found that using MJ or calling Disney may help you get the CL...we didn't know it was available with out pin since it wasn't showing up on the ressie website but when MJ called she found it was available.

We typically stay CL and always have used a PIN code of 40% to stay CL.

I got my first pin code last month, but the AP rates were better. Maybe it was because my dates were over spring break (early March)?

I was able to use the current discount (30% for deluxe resorts) on our trip in May. I was so excited! Our old reservation had to be cancelled, though, so everything we paid is being refunded to our credit card. That makes me nervous, but I think it will be worth it since we're saving over $2000!

Does anyone know if you can use a PIN code for more than one trip?
