Multi Day tickets
Does anyone know if multi day tickets for Universal expire within a certain time limit, as with WDW?
I am going twice this year, will be doing one Universal Day each time. I saw 3 day passes for sale at Costco for less than two individual days would cost, so...if they do not expire, it would be cheaper to buy two of these than four single day tickets.

I know the resident 3 days passes are good for 180 days. I would check to make sure, but I imagine all of the 3+ day tix are the same.

I think- not 100% sure- they are good for 14 days from the date of purchase. Meaning once you use the first day you have 14 days to use the others. But I don't know for certain because I just buy the annual passes now. I would probably call Universal to be safe.

Thanks
I am pretty sure the PP was right about the 14 days, but I was reading the back of the card at Costco and didn't see anything so I was hoping. Buying an annual pass is a break even proposition on two days. I'll have to think about this, first trip is in May.

The 3-day passes at Costco have their own special expiration date--they are not the same multi-day tickets that you would buy directly from Universal. They must have been produced by Universal specifically for Costco. Check the display at Costco for details. We purchased the Costco 3-day passes in 2011 and ours expire Dec. 31, 2013. So we used 2 days on a trip in spring 2011 and are using the final day at the end of this month.

Ah OK- I was talking about tickets bought from Universal so maybe there is something better with Costco tix. Interesting.
I do the annual pass now and do the flex pay so I put a portion down and then it's $20 a month with no interest. I buy it for myself and then use the benefits to buy discounted tickets for the rest of my family as well as take advantage of the annual pass holder rates at the onsite hotels. There are other discounts too on restaurants and other things. It works out to be a good deal for me.

Does anyone know if Universal uses any biometric scanning or anything at its turnstiles, that would prevent a multi day ticket from being used first by one person, and then on a later trip by someone else?
Going on two trips this year, with a different person each time. So figuring on buying two of those tickets from Costco, using one for myself both times, and then the other one split between my two different traveling companions.

Yes, they do. You can't use them for different people.
