The "I've never written a trip report this late before" trip report!!

Oooops... I meant a "pre-trip" report.... getting ahead of myself!!

So, we leave in an hour... so this will be a quickie!! (Which is actually amazing for me, as well... )

Cast of characters - my DH, who is actually an I'cotee, but never posts, ,and my two DD's. Our youngest just turned 12, and our older girl turns 15 during our trip. Where has the time gone??

We head south today, driving our way into the land of heat & palm trees... and this trip christens my new CRV, which I love and adore and am SO totally impressed with, mostly b/c we fit everything in for 14 days and can still easily see out the back window!!

The girls are SO excited, it's been two years since their last trip, and they can NOT wait to see the new Fantasyland!! (My DH and I travelled down for I'cot's 15th anniversary bash, and they were kind enough to not hate us for that... )

Plus, we added in a day at Universal's Isl of Adventure to see HP... we've never been, the girls are TOTALLY into HP right now, so we are really looking forward to this.

So, tonight we bunk in Virginia, and tomorrow we head to St Simon's Island, Georgia. We discovered this little gem two yrs ago, but it was just the girls and I driving that time, my DH flew to save vaca time... so we get to introduce him to it, and I can't wait!! So pretty, and I have a surprise in store... he and the girls think we are staying at the Hol Inn Exp Fri night, but we are actually staying at a beach resort called The King & Prince. It's so gorgeous, I never thought we'd get to stay there, but I found a killer deal on Hotels.com and decided to surprise them. That way, we have immediate access to the beach Fri & Sat, and pools... a sauna for my DH and I at night... and it is just so pretty. So!! I can't wait to surprise them!!

Saturday, we are taking a late check-out so we can hit the beach 'til noon, and we'll be hopefully arrive at Disney and CBR by 5 or 6pm.

Our plans?? Here's the condensed version -

Saturday - check in/pool time.

Sunday - MK - bkfst at CP sto start the day, and then just relaxing with the magic.

Monday - Epcot - dinner at Via Napoli (a first), and maybe a pop back to the pool mid-afternoon if the heat is getting to us. Snacks for sure all around the WS!!

Tuesday - DHS - dinner at Sci Fi (also a first) and not much planned except rides and relaxing. Oh, and that carrot cake cookiewich thing at The Writer's Stop.

Wednesday - AK - dinner after it closes at Raglan Road, and some shopping/relaxation time at DTD.

Thursday - MK - dinner at BoG (woohoo!! ) and not many specific plans otherwise.

Friday - our Universal Day, ending it at Margaritaville at Universal City Walk. "Changes in latitude, changes in attitude... " Love Jimmy!!

Saturday - DHS/AK mash-up, dinner at WCC (another first - my DH is VERY excited by this menu - okay, to be honest, so are we....) and maybe a visit with friends from Lakeland.

Sunday - MK - starting the day with bkfst @ 'Ohana, then off to the magic.

Monday - Epcot - early dinner at Marrakesh for our DD's 15th b'day - then a stop to visit Mikki and other friends @ the Top of the World Lounge before heading over to MK for Wishes, a few rides and to say our goodbyes to Disney.

Tuesday - we are up at o'dark hundred to take my DH to the airport (unless he chooses to drive with us, gametime decision) and then the girls and I head north. Probably stop in Virginia, unless I can manage to pull out all the stops and make a complete run for it. We'll see!!

So - that's it, in a nutshell... there will of course be pool time, time with friends, a bit of lounging here and there... I'm sure the trip report when I return will be WAY longer!!

Safe travels...see you soon at the meet. We got to try Via Napoli yesterday as a first for us. It was good...loved the spaghetti and meatballs.
