My Magic+, Magic Bands, and Tickets
Hey all!
I have a little concern with the My Magic+, Magic Bands, and regular theme park tickets with this upcoming trip my family plans to take.
We're planning 3 nights at the Caribbean Resort, and 4 nights at Wilderness Lodge. We also plan to stay off property 2 more nights.
We have an account for Disney and My Magic+, and if I remember correctly, you can get your FP's through the app? And it syncs into the Magic Band, right?
Just making sure I'm right.
As for the nights off property, we plan to be in the parks another day. Will Disney eliminate our Magic Bands as soon as we move off property then?
We haven't purchased our tickets yet, so I was wondering if that was something that automatically syncs into your Magic+ app or is that something that won't popup until the day you are USING your tickets?
I hope all these questions make sense, I appreciate your answers!

Once you purchase your tickets, you need to go to your Disney Experience account and link your tickets to the account. Unless you have valid tickets linked to your account, you will not be able to make fast pass + reservations. Once you have made fast pass + reservations, you will use your band as you enter the rides as your fastpass + ticket.
Your Magic Bands will still work for your tickets even if you move off property. The timing of when you can make fastpass + reservations will differ based on your room reservations and whether you are staying off site or on site.

Does this mean that I can make FP reservations before we go to on property as early as I'd like so long as our tickets are on My Magic+?

Once you have a ticket linked to your account, you will be able to make FP+ reservations. You'll be able to make them 60 days out IF you have a Disney resort reservation that is also linked to your MDE account. If you don't have a Disney resort reservation, then you will be able to make FP+ reservations 30 days out.

Okay, now I understand that you can link them to your phone but is it specifically on one phone or can two phones be logged into the same account with the same tickets?

Again, you're not linking anything to any device - bands, phones, tablets, whatever. Everything is linked to your MDE account on Disney's servers. The MDE app is merely a way to access that information, which can also be accessed via computer.
Nothing is linked to any one device. Everything is linked to your MDE account. That account can be accessed from anywhere and with any device - computer, tablet, phone. It doesn't matter. Multiple devices, including multiple phones can access the same account. Phones and tablets can either use the app (recommended) or they can access your account via the device's browser. It's just a matter of logging in to your account.
