I am so excited about this!!! My DD will be a little over 2 yrs old when we go this Dec and she will LOVE this meal!! – Vadizneefan

I'm pretty disappointed. I think the meal is great for parents with toddler aged children, but really limiting to other guests. – roryjulie

My DS would love to have a meal with the Incredibles, Power Rangers, Hercules, Buzz...and my nephew was disappointed when there was no "boy" alternative to his sister's Cinderella meal. – IDreamofEeyore

Across the Boards with Figment! >>

Welcome to part II of our Springtime FAQ Review. So with out further delay, let’s get started.

Q: How do I quote a particular post?
A: By Clicking on the quotation marks in the bottom right corner of that post will generate a reply with the quote of the post already formatted in the reply box.

Q: How do I add a Hyperlink?
A: When you are trying to add a hyperlink to another thread, somewhere else on INTERCOT or to one of our sponsors, you need to first identify which mode you are in. Based off the mode you will need to follow the corresponding steps:

In Standard Editor
1) Click on the button with the picture of a globe with a chain link below it.
2) A prompt will appear asking for asking for the “link text” insert into this field the text that you would like to become the link
3) Click OK
4) A prompt will appear asking for asking for the “URL” insert into this field the web address you would like to link to.
5) Click OK
This is the same process as with the “old board” except the link text and web address are added in the reverse order.

In Enhanced Interface
This mode you add links to already existing text as opposed to inserting a whole link.

1) Type the text as you would like it to appear in the link
2) Highlight the text you would like to be the link
3) With the text still highlighted click on the button with the picture of a globe with a chain link below it
4) A prompt will appear asking for asking for the “URL” insert into this field the web address you would like to link to. Insert the address into the field labeled “URL”, leave the “Type” field alone.
5) Click OK

Q: Is there a way to search for threads that may be about a topic I am interesting in or referring a thread I have read before?
A: Yes, in fact there are two ways of performing a quick search. You have the option to “search” or “search this forum.” If you know which forum a past thread was posted or where a past answer may be the “search this forum” option is a nice way to narrow down your search. On the other hand if you are not sure of the forum, the “search” option will scan the whole boards for you. To use these features simply click on their appropriate buttons. The “search” button is in the top toolbar at the top of every discussion board page. The “search this forum” button is at the top of the forum section on every main forum page. Clicking on both these buttons will produce a drop down form for you to enter your key words in. Once you have entered your key words, you just click the “go” button to the right of the form and you are on your way.

Q: Is there an “easy” way to format text in a post with color and other formatting?
A: Yes, there is. The easiest way to format text is in the Enhanced Interface. In this mode you simply type the text in your post, then highlight it and apply whatever formatting you wish. To Bold, Italicize or Underline click on the “B”, “I” or “U” buttons respectively. To change the color of text, click on the “A” button. A drop down palette will appear and you can select your color from there. Do note that lighter colors (those at the bottom of the pallet) are very hard to read against the default post background, it is best to avoid those colors. To changes the font style or size, use the appropriate drop down menus. These menus are not labeled, but will display the current font style and font size of the highlighted text prior to you changing it.

Q: Can I edit a post after I have submitted it?
A: Yes, in the bottom of every post you make, there is an additional icon-the pencil and paper. Clicking this option allows you to edit your post to make corrections or amendments. If you are the originator of a thread and you wish to edit the title of the thread, you have a 24-hour window to do so. After 24 hours guests are unable to edit the title of the actual thread. If you wish to change the title to note an update or the like, contact a moderator of that forum. A list of moderators for each forum is found in the bottom right hand corner of that forum.

That wraps it up for our Springtime FAQ review. Until next time, happy browsing around the boards and see ya real soon!

Now that we’ve all “sprung ahead” and the Easter Bunny has paid his annual visit, let’s review the April happenings in the Water Cooler!

Were you April fooled? disneyfamilyforever asked INTERCOTees if they were part of any good jokes on April Fools Day. mickey&missy, Dsnygirl, and CanadianWDWFan were the foolers, not the “foolees”! One member who was fooled was Damon18: “...yes I did get "fooled" today and it was pretty good I must admit. I had to go into work today to catch up on a lot of work. I had 4 of my staff coming in to help out. When I got in bright and early this morning there were 4 messages on my phone from each of them calling in sick! It did not occur to me that it was April Fools Day so I was less than pleased at this point. But about 15 minutes later they all showed up together laughing about their little prank. I was gonna strangle them but I was just happy they showed up.”

What did the Easter Bunny bring you? In addition to the usual chocolate and jellybeans, some INTERCOTees received some cool stuff. mamatedd’s kids got soccer balls, jump ropes & bubbles, KCMom’s daughter received a karoake game for her Gamecube, alpro2 got a 2006 Passporter, and GoinGoofyPlanninThisTrip’s kids received baseball mitts. And it just wouldn’t seem like Easter time in the Water Cooler without our annual Peeps discussion! Love ‘em or hate ‘em, it’s always a fun conversation that I look forward to each year!

Jamie’s Friday parties for April included the Housework, Shmouse–work Party, the Happy Easter Bunny Sock Hop, the Animal Kingdom Jammin’ Jungle Jamboree and the Hair Care Try It If You Dare Party! It just wouldn’t feel like Friday without Jamie & Nigel’s parties – thanks for entertaining us week after week!

We saw some familiar faces back at INTERCOT in April. Welcome back Toughbug, Hope2Survive, Lizzy & DisneyWizard. You were all missed! Now please don’t be strangers!

April posting milestones were reached by Melanears – 27,000 posts, ChipnDaleGal – 19,000 posts, Jeff – 14,000 posts, Vizsla – 12,000 posts, Disney_nut – 12,000 posts, DizneyFreak2002 – 10,000 posts, five all-the-way – 4,000 posts, marlyn – 4,000 posts, wonders10 – 1,000 posts, MsMin – 1,000 posts, CanadianWDWFan – 1,000 posts, conorsmom2000 – 1,000 posts, tinkerbellybutton – 1,000 posts, Tink35 – 700 posts, amyn2610, -700 posts, Surfer Stitch – 500 posts, DizNee143 – 500 posts, Jeff G – 400 posts, alpro2 – Senior Cast Member, Dsnygirl – Senior Cast Member, WDWhuny – Senior Cast Member, Tightlines – Senior Cast Member, MsDisney – 200 posts, Goofeygal – 200 posts. Keep up the quality posting everyone!

That’s about it for April, see you next month!
