I know many of us have heard “oh, Walt Disney World is just for kids”. What people don’t bother to see how much there is to do for a night without the kids. Don’t forget that Walt Disney World is the #1 honeymoon destination in the US. So, whether you are traveling with your significant other for a romantic getaway for 2 or having a parents’ night out while the kids have a blast at one of the kids’ clubs, here are some suggestions of things to do.

1) Disney’s Boardwalk- You can dance to the latest hits at Atlantic Dance Hall. If sing-alongs are your thing, you need to try Jellyrolls, the dueling pianos bar. There is a cover charge, so check at the door for the latest prices (it was $10 the last time I was there). Both Atlantic Dance Hall and Jelly Rolls are for adults 21 and over. If you want to catch the game for your hometown team, the atmosphere at ESPN Club is second to none. I watch the Phillies clinch the National League Championship Series in 2008 from here and let me tell you, there was so much camaraderie with other Phillies fans, I could have been on South Street!

2) Cirque du Soleil- La Nouba, the Cirque du Soleil show, which is performed in its own theatre located at Downtown Disney West Side, which is designed to feel like a circus tent. The show is filled with brilliant costumes, live music, and incredible feats that make you wonder “how is that possible”? 

3) Monorail bar crawl- No, I’m not saying to relieve your wild and crazy college years! You can, however, have a lovely evening enjoying an adult beverage at the bars at each of the monorail resorts. Sip a class a wine enjoying the orchestra playing while at Mitzner’s at the Grand Floridian or have a drink at Narcoossee’s (Sergio, one of the bartenders, is my favorite bartender in WDW). Then, head over to the Contemporary and enjoy a drink at the Outer Rim bar watching the monorail fly overhead. After that, head over to the Poly for a tropical drink at the Tambu Lounge. You can even get your drink to go and enjoy it on the beach. If you want to veer off the monorail, take the boat from the Contemporary to Wilderness Lodge and enjoy Territory Lounge.

So you see, there plenty of entertainment for adults to enjoy at Walt Disney World. I didn’t even talk about all the great adult oriented dining options. Remember, a Disney vacation is not just for kids!
