Enhancements
Coming To Magic Kingdom's Central Plaza & Hub Area
In an effort to ease congestion around the popular Hub/Central Plaza of the
Magic Kingdom, Walt Disney World has announced many 'enhancements' for the
area. Additional pathways, special fireworks viewing areas, sculpted gardens
and expanded restaurant seating are just a few of the elements being added
to create a more enjoyable experience for the guest. Work has already begun
and will be complete in 2015.
Imagineering
Shares Onboard Video of Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
During
a live chat with the Disney Parks Blog, Walt Disney Imagineering released a
new video of the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train at Magic Kingdom Park. The video
shows a side by side comparison of actual onboard footage and early CGI
footage. The attraction is set to open this spring.

Ticket Price Increase Takes Effect Today
Beginning
today, Walt Disney World will increase the base price of a one-day, one-park
ticket to $99 for Magic Kingdom admission and $94 for Epcot,, Animal Kingdom
and Hollywood Studio. Multi-day ticket packages also increase though at a
lesser amount. Park Hopper add-on options increased to $60, up from $59.
Water Park Fun & More add-ons are also now $60 per pass. In addition, many
of the park's other tickets have received a rise in cost, including Annual
Passes.Ticket prices last
increased on June 2, 2013.All
price changes are effective, February 23, 2014.

Star Wars Weekend Dates
Released. A 5th Weekend and Fireworks Added to the Festivities for 2014!
Once
again, the power of the Force and the magic of Disney combine for the
family-friendly fan-fest, scheduled for five consecutive weekends, beginning
May 16 and running through June 15, 2014, at Disney's Hollywood Studios.
This year weekend event will include a fireworks show featuring Star Wars
music each evening, as well as special parades, trivia games, meet-and-greet
sessions, characters and special themed activities. In addition it was
announced, James Arnold Taylor will return as the event’s official celebrity
host. Taylor is the voice of hundreds of animated characters and a fan
favorite. The weekend festivities take place on Fridays, Saturdays and
Sundays and are included with regular theme park admission.

Festival Adding An Extra Week in 2014
The
2014 Epcot International Food & Wine Festival will go a record 53 days this
fall, running from September 19-November 10. Guests can sample amazing food
and drinks at nearly 30 international marketplaces situated around World
Showcase, There will also be culinary demonstrations, beverage seminars and
the ever popular Eat to the Beat Concert Series in American Gardens.
