Brightly colored buildings
styled to reflect the culture of Caribbean Islands including Jamaica, Aruba,
Trinidad, Martinique and Barbados, make up this moderate resort. This is a LARGE hotel featuring 2,112
rooms. Rooms are clustered in villages, each with its own small pool,
laundry facility, and stretch of white sand beach. Rooms are located in two
story buildings.
The front desk can be found at the Custom House, where
guests will also find the resort concierge desk and guest services. Old Port
Royale is the building housing the resort's food court, gift shops,
restaurant/lounge, and arcade. Old Port Royale is decorated to look like a
Caribbean markeplace at sundown. The main pool at Caribbean Beach resort
recently underwent a complete overhaul. A large water play area, including
small slides, was added for young children. In addition, the pool features a
full sized water slide set into a Spanish fort themed centerpiece. Caribbean
Beach Resort was Disney's first moderate resort. With its colorful and fun
atmosphere and prime location just behind Epcot, it remains a guest
favorite.
